Bøyaøyri estuary is a river delta with about 100 different
species of birds. It is an important nesting area for migratory
birds. The Bøyaøyri became a nature reserve in 1991. It extends
over a total area of 230,000 m², of which 94,000 m² are
terrestrial.
There is a watch tower for observing the birds, the cache is placed
inside this tower.
