On a summit near Frankenberg/Eder called 'Totenhoehe' there is still a piece of rock under which a Swedish general who died in the Thirty Years' War is told to be buried. Every seven years he climbs off his grave, gets on his big horse and rides around the summit.

He wears a short jacket, high boots, fencing-glove and a big hat with a flowing tuft of feathers and a long sword at his left. People tell they have seen him often that way.

To find the cache it's necessary to calculate a bit. The cache is at N 51° 04.390 E 08° 47.0A

Add the year in which the general has died (four digits), see the memorial stone.

A = 2 * century + year E.g.: 1988 – 2*19 + 88 = 126

By the way, there are some more tales about 'Totenhoehe'. Happy searching.

Leider ist heute wohl der Wurm drinn. Dem Schwedengeneral konnte ich auch nicht das Geheimnis entlocken. Es waren einige vielversprechende Wurzeln da aber es war nix zu finden. Vielleicht dann irgendwann mal wieder. Vg

Endlich wollte ich den Schwendengeneral einen Besuch abstatten. Ein wichtiger Strategiepunkt sollte endlich meine Statistik bei GC zieren. Die Wachen des Generals lauerten überall herum. Im geeigneten Augenblick dann hatte ich das Papier gefunden, dass ich so dringend gesucht hatte. Endlich konnte wieder eine Lücke in der alten Statistik geschlossen werden.
Danke fürs Legen und Pflegen. Wieder konnte ich einiges Interessantes erfahren.

Gut versteckt und doch gefunden. Kleine Rechenaufgabe war für die Kinder genau das richtige. Vielen Dank.
