Bendorfer Römerturm

In order to find the cache you have to find the answers to some questions. The answers can be found at the stations or along the way. If you stay on the the way you can't miss them. But where exactly you can find the answers, you have to find out yourself! If all fails, you can find the locations of the answers in the hints.

Tip: A topographical map (1:50000) and a flashlight to read the metal tags, could be useful.

Questions to be answered along the way:

• E: What speed limit does apply on the compound of the stable (Albrechtshof)?
• F: What height does pinus silvestris reach in our region? cross sum?
• G: When was "Löschke Ruhe" built? cross sum minus 10?
• H: When was Limes abondoned? cross sum? E + F

• Start:
  You start at a parking-lot at: N 50° 25,864' / E 7° 36,189'. Here you'll find a metal tag, which points the way to the first station.
• Station 1:
  What name does the station have? The cross sum of the number of characters in the name equals A.
  Again a metal tag tells how to proceed..
• Station 2:
  How many fireplaces can be found here? The number is B.
  From the hut with the chimney you can see another point in (B-2)(A-5)(E-5)° about (A-1)(E-5)m away, where the coordinates of the next station are hidden.
• Station 3:
  Here you have accomplished approximately the half of the way, and it is time to rest and look for the next hint. This hint also contains C.
• Station 4:
  At this place you have a good view on the castle Sayn. How many windows do you count underneath the roof? -> D
  (In case the weather isn't that good just or you can't answer the question without binoculars just count the number of the screws which mount the seat of the nearby bench and subtract 2)

  Now follow the zigzag-way upwards (Rhein-Steig hiking trail). It will lead you to the roman tower of Bendorf.

  After having admired the tower, all questions should be answered, and you're ready to search the cache. To gain new power fort his task or to celebrate your find afterwards, there's an opportunity at 50° 26,228' / E 7° 35,964'.

If you stop at N 50° 26,057' / E 7° 35,549'' on your way back, you'll have a nice view over the Koblenz-Neuwieder-basin.
