Found Recommended 28 April 2007 Chiroptera found the geocache

danke, Chiroptera

Found 28 April 2007 Mausbiber found the geocache

TFTC!

Found 28 October 2006 sterau found the geocache

No Trade.

Found 22 October 2005 M.W. found the geocache

Found 26 June 2004 bevema found the geocache

[Jo's Log:
Having planned doing this cache long ago whenever the weekend weather forecast would be acceptable, we decided that this would be the day.

Our team nearly complete, only Ralph missing, we went together with Martin of BeVeMa.

Before starting we fetched the key for the Güntherhöhle at the inn in Hundsheim so we might visit the cave as a reward for finding the cache.

We encountered no problems till stage 3, but then it started: As we had forgotten the map of the area, which we had purchased just for this occasion, we strayed around in the woods, not getting nearer to stage 4 for hours and hours, at least it did seem so.

So we decided to skip stage 4 and went directly to stage 5.

Stage 6 was no problem, but then Martin decided to take the next best route into the wood, whereas the DuFloJoLiRa including the children didn't want t follow, being not that sure about the target of the path.

After some discussions via mobile phones Johannes followed Martin, Dunja had a break with the children.

Martin and Johannes found the cache itself easily, but the others missed out .

We finished the day visiting the cave and watching the fireworks of the Donauinselfest from the Hundsheimer Berg, both actions being very recommendable.

As Johannes already told most of our story, I just have to nitpick.
Stage 2 is IMO almost impossible to accomplish without a flashlight. Maybe the micro is wandering around locally, but we inspected a dozen promising hiding locations using 4 flashlights, before finally finding it.
The description to stage 4 is only sufficent if the map isn't resting at home :). Leaving the northbound village on my way to stage 7, I not only took the nearest path, but also the only visible one (without a map :) ) . While team DuFloJoLiRa rested and planned their further proceeding, I proceeded uphill, surprising a bunch of young foxes on their saturday afternoon stroll, not beeing shy at all. At stage 7 I was hunted by zillions of mosquitos, beeing the only CO2-exhaling creature within hundreds of metres, so I did my ongoing calculations on the run, not stopping at all. Finally I outran these bloody suckers, and rested in the shadows of a convenient approaching cloud, talking Johannes through to stage 8 via cell-phone. Unfortunately I misread the previous instructions, leaving me with a target error of 80 metres, and Johannes with wrong coordinates. At 1st I tried to intercept his way, but realizing that there is almost just one possible way to approach (beside mine, fighting its way through the thicket like a stubborn donkey 8) ), I just waited him out. When he arrived, the cache was found quite fast. Cache is in good condition, thx to GPearl for this nice cache.
