Once minister of the GDR passed the night in "Gästehaus des Ministerrates der DDR" while visiting Leipzigs exhibitions.
Nach dem Fall der Mauer wurde es zu einem gewöhnlichen Hotel, dem "Gästehaus am Park", dessen Name auch noch heute an der Fassade prangt (in Richtung Park).
In 1995 the whole inventory was sold, because it was planned to pull down the whole building and replace it by a new hotel. But nothing happened on this and some further plans and so the building is empty since 1995 while hold by different owners.
Last owner change was in 2012 and last plannings are to redevelop the building to a hotel-similar retirement home. But still nothing happened and lovely nature is recapturing it.
If anybody should have pictures from the past of the building, we would be happy if they would be attached to the (online) log.
At no time it is needed to enter the ground being on search for the cache container..

Mein erster Cache am zweiten Tag in Leipzig.
Das kling ja spannend: Ein LostPlace, das Gästehaus des Ministerrats der DDR
Zu sehen gibt es davon allerdings nicht mehr viel und der Abriss schein jetzt in vollem Gange zu sein, zumindest Baumaschinen arbeiten dran (siehe Foto).
Ins Logbuch konnte ich mich anstandslos eintragen.
Cache und Logbuch sind in Ordnung, dem Haus geht es nicht mehr so gut.
Vielen Dank an das Team Paula für das Legen und die Pflegen dieses Caches

Im ersten Anlauf war der Zugriff nicht erfolgreich wegen akuter Vermuggelung. Aber jetzt hat es geklappt. Ein interessanter Ort. Ich frage mich immer, wie lange solche LPs am Ende doch stehen bleiben, obwohl ja in dieser Stadt soo wenig Platz ist... Danke fürs Herlocken und den Cache!
