Quellen im Odenwald I: Weschnitzquelle

The Weschnitz has its source near Grasellenbach-Hammelbach. The source is located at 455 meters above sea level and is located on a leisure park with a small lake and a grill hut. It flows through the village Weschnitz and Fürth, Rimbach, Mörlenbach, Birkenau and further on to Weinheim. There she bends to the northwest and is divided into two arms: the Old Weschnitz and the New Weschnitz. In Lorsch unite their two arms again and flows at Biblis near the former nuclear power plant after nearly 59 kilometers and 370 meters above sea level into the Rhine River.
