Seramikçilik ve çömlekçilik, kil hamurundan, şekil verme, pişirme ve sırlama işlemleriyle, türlü biçimlerde süslü kaplar elde etme sanatıdır.
Çok eski yıllarda (MÖ 4. YY) Datça Hızırşah ve Burgaz (Old Knidos) bölgesinde bu meslek önemli hale gelmiştir. Knidos devrin en önemli limanlarından biriydi ve ihtiyaç duyulan amforaların bir bölümü Datça’da üretilmekteydi. Günümüzde bu meslek süsleme amaçlı yapılmaktadır.
