nestling down in the pavillon
The capability of human beings to eat ice cream and drink coffee — or have waffles or warm toast, a cup of hot chocolate for wrapping hands around — is still present in the dark half of the year. Some blankets are normally at hand thanks to our favourite ice dealers.
We’ll meet again at the comfortable wooden benches at the parking lot near to Mehlem Church St. Severin, on Sunday, 20ᵗʰ October 2019, starting at 17:40 local time (for at least an half hour but “open end”). Those who wish can get their (cold or hot) meal from next door then proceed to sign the logbook (GC8EEDM • OC15B72 • TC3NZ5), hang out and chat a bit, exchange hitchhikers, hints, callsigns (telephone, hamradio) or so and contemplate GPS Stash Hunts, both past and future… perhaps even about 2020’s Beethoven theme?
We’ll shelter in the pavillon at the ice cream parlour in murky weather.

Das ist ja mal ein Event! Ich bin zu früh da und habe das Logbuch bei mir! Aufgrund des schlechten Wetters sitzen wir allerdings im Pavillon.
Ein gemütliches kleines Event mit vielen bekannten Gesichtern, aber (wohl aufgrund der Witterung) weniger als ich vermutet hätte. Es war aber trocken genug und im Pavillon ziemlich warm, und das Eis und die Waffeln und die diversen Kaffeespezialitäten haben allen gemundet, und ich konnte ein bißchen Werbung für ein Konzert (Giuseppe Verdi, Requiem, 17. November 2019, 18:00, Reuterstraße 11 (bzw. OC11F2D), Kinder unter 14 haben freien Eintritt), wo die bezaubernde eyeinthesky-0815 und ich singen werden, machen, und der begabte Bruder Jab eurer Eisevent-Crew hat den tollen neuen Familienjahreskalender für 2020, mit eigenen Zeichnungen, vorgestellt und herumgehen lassen. Außerdem hab es lustige Gespräche zu Caches, Cachern, Reinfällen und Hinterhofmuggels.

Die Eis-Dealer haben wohl am 31. Oktober das letzte Mal auf, aber bereits am 30. Oktober dürfte somit der Ausverkauf beginnen (man bestellt zwei Kugeln, bekommt stattdessen fünf, aber nicht, was man bestellt hatte, sondern was da ist, und bezahlt auch irgendwie weniger frei nach Zufallsprinzip… irgendwer muß ja die ganze Sahne wegessen ☻). Wir sehen uns!
