Sculpture

This is a multi-part sculpture by Anne and Patrick Poirier. The eyes look from Nordbad baths to the City Archive. You can read more about it on Wikipedia.

Password

There are four parts to the sculpture. Two eyes, a pillar, and a golden sphere. At the first waypoint, you would be able to read the text on the eyes. At the second waypoint, you would be able to read the text on the pillar plaque and on the golden sphere.

At the bottom of the layered pillar, there is a plaque with four lines of text. On the three others, there are two lines of text. You need to read all four texts to get the password. Get the first letters or numbers (aka alphanumeric characters) of each line in the following order:

Golden sphere: _ _
Pillar plaque: _ _ _ _
Right eye: _ _
Left eye: _ _

This will generate a 10 character password.

Container

The pillar plaque also mentions a year. Calculate the sum of its digits:

Then you can get the coordinates of the cache using (pay attention to the decimal separator, please!):

It's a very short walk from Nordbad to the hiding place.

Ein paar Minuten später haben wir an angegebenen Stelle die Dose gefunden. Es war uns ein Vergnügen auch wenn die Notation der Koordinaten etwas ungewöhnlich ist.

Heute machten Schatzforscher und ich eine Runde in der Maxvorstadt und in Schwabing. Mit An- und Abfahrt mit dem CB kamen 100 km zusammen.
Die Anweisungen waren zuerst nicht ganz klar. Dann konnten wir aber alles ablesen. Linkes und rechtes Auge mussten wir vertauschen, dass das Passwort stimmte.

Den Rätselteil konnten wir hervorragend lösen. Das Platzieren Namenszeichens steht noch aus. Das wird noch ein kleines Vergnügen.

Habe die Dose gefunden, da ich den kleinen Park kannte. Aber die errechneten Koordinaten führten mich 900 m weg in die Pampas. Was hab ich falsch gemacht?

Da ich sowieso in dieser Ecke war um einem Freund eine Besorgung vorbeizubringen - heute sind ja wieder einige Geschäfte mehr geöffnet - hab ich auch hier vorbei geschaut. Die einzelnen Kunstwerke hab ich unterbewusst schon früher wahrgenommen, sie aber nie in Verbindung gebracht. Danke für die Aufklärung.

Diesen kleinen Park hab ich auch genauer anschauen dürfen, denn just am GC hatte sich eine Radlerin eine Erholungspause gegönnt - Wer geht früher, sie oder ich? Ich hatte den längeren Atem.

Danke für die Dose, fürs Legen und Pflegen, alles ok mit ihr und dem Logbuch.

Am frühen Abend habe ich bei diesem neuen OC-Cache vorbeigeschaut. Die eigentliche Filmdose war recht schnell gefunden , aber mit die Anweisungen für das Log-Passwort hatte ich zuerst nicht so ganz verstanden. Erst als ich kapiert habe, dass mit "geschichtete Spalte" ebenfalls die Säule gemeint ist, ging es dann. Ich halte das für einen Übersetzungsfehler (engl. "column" heißt je nach Kontext entweder "Spalte" oder "Säule").
