Description    Deutsch  ·  English

The man at the 3rd floor is still well known as a mayor of Vienna in the so-called “good old times”. Nevertheless you should have a closer look at the monument, from a more statistical point of view.

First count all persons and take this for A.

Then count all barefoot persons and take this for B, but take only those who’s feet are visible in anatomic sense (even if some toes seem to be almost frozen away).

How many are shoeless at the second floor? The result is C.

At last: how many don’t own shoes at the first floor? Take the result for D.

The cache is hidden at:

N = 48° 12. xxx
E = 016° 22. yyy
xxx = A + B + 10*C + 9*D
yyy = A*B + 18* (C+D) + A

Finally some patience could be usefull. Please retrive und rehide the box carefully, anyway you can do it ungloved.
Please do not upload pictures of the box.

Have fun, M&W

Found 14 January 2006 j-blue found the geocache

This cache was a bit of a problem for us, at our last visit to Vienna it was my honourable task to count the bare feet, while DJ58 was sitting in the sun studying the caches on our TO-DO-LIST, however, all the people sitting around made me feel a bit silly, running around in circles again and again while counting and re-counting So the inevitable happened, a mistake in my calculation and a DNF .
Fortunately I know the (very nice) cache owners and they helped us to get the calculation right and to finally find the cache this time! Thank you!

Found it at 1600 in the 4th attempt and with owner's support...
A cache of the kind "nemesis". Counted all the barefeet and non-barefeet people three times. Every attempt brought me nearer to the hideout. At the third try (this time supported by Team Gimli) we were only some millimeters away, but I was not rude enough. ;)

After getting some feedback from the owner I retrieved the box from it's ingenious hideout.

Thnx!
