The last house was destroyed and so was my cache. Today, on 08.06.2006, ich
placed a new box some 100meters away.
The cache got his name from a former district of my Hometown. This district was founded after the 2. World War as a refugee camp which was called "Waggon-Stadt". Sometime it was renamed as "Marioth-Gelände". 1970 it became its last and official Name "Lohwald-Siedlung". This n ame has to do with the oak trees which used to stand there. The bark of this oaks was used for making leather. Unfortunately the district has become some kind of slum and so the city Offenbach decided to demolish all the houses and put all the people into other districts. So there are only streets and just one house left.

Ein Schöner Nachmittag,
ein schöner Start für unser erstes Cache. Danke dafür - nach zwei anderen Versuchen, hat es dann geklappt eines deiner Caches zu finden.
Ansich ist die Location richtig gut - hat uns sehr gut gefallen.
Wir haben den Cache nochmal ein bisschen verlegt am Objekt, da er mitten auf der Wiese lag (geöffnet). Ausserdem denken wir, dass der Cache bald verschwunden ist, da bereits Container und Abriss-Fahrzeuge da stehen. Das Haus ist bereits ohne Dach.

Als Kreisoffenbacher der längere Zeit in Mühlheim gearbeiet hat, kannte ich den Lohwald schon lange vor der "Sanierung". Und ich musste erfreut feststellen,dass es heute dort schöner ist als früher.

Schöner schneller Cache! Wirklich eine wichtige Stelle in der Offenbacher Stadtgeschichte. Schade, dass Thowo nicht etwas früher vorbei geschaut hatte. Heute am Sonntag war es sehr muggelig.
In: Maßband, 500 Lire (sind bestimmt bald wieder was wert?!)
