Runzi, the herb dwarf is the title figure from the children's book "Runzis wundersame Reise" (Runzis wondrous journey) from Thea Eble, an authoress of the nearby town of Brake. In this child fairy tale the herb dwarf Runzi tells about his journey from his forest in the south of Germany to the North Sea Coast. A station of its journey is the Weser beach at Brake Kirchhammelwarden.
The Cache is directly at the river Weser at the "Wilhelm Schierloh Strand", a small edge of sand bathing, designated after the joint founder and first chairman of the local "Hammelwarder Bürgerverein". This association took over the care of this beautiful place. An ideal place for a picknick with view of river and ships and the "Harriersand", with its length of eleven kilometers the longest river-island of Europe. With appropriate weather and water level this place affords the opportunity for a beautiful bath in the Weser river. Also the Friedrichskirche (a church which is usually open during the day) directly behind the dyke is worth an attendance.

Bitte bei Statusänderungen, die auf geocaching.com durchgeführt werden, auch immer hier den Status ändern. Dieser Cache ist auf geocaching.com (GCWETF) archiviert und hier nicht mit dem Attribut "OC only" versehen. Das letzte Funddatum liegt lange zurück und die Vorlogs hier lassen darauf schließen, dass der Cache nicht mehr existiert. Aus diesem Grunde archiviere ich ihn auch hier. Sollte später vom Owner eine Wartung durchgeführt werden, so kann dieses Listing durch ihn selbständig über ein "kann gesucht werden"-Log reaktiviert werden.

Auf einem Abendspaziergang zusammen mit cockle konnte das Döschen an dem netten kleinen Strand schnell gefunden werden.
