This cache can be reached best by riding a mountain bike, or, maybe less exhausting, walking. One-way distance is about 1.5 km (one mile) from the hamlet Waltenhofen.
The hiding place is fairly obvious (if you know there's something there).
The cache's static inventory consists of a log pad, pencils, a pencil sharpener, a silica gel bag, and a "highly scientific article" about the "archaeological sensation" to be found there (written by my Dad, in German only). Look for an object that very roughly resembles this:

Originally the Cymbalith even had "strings", but sadly someone has removed them meanwhile.

As requested I now put copies of the article into the cache for finders to keep. If you've been there already and couldn't take one, you may request the PDF version via e-mail.

Die Dose ist weg, scheinbar gemuggelt oder vom Waldbesitzer kommentarlos "aufgeräumt" worden. Da der Cache jetzt seit dreieinhalb Jahren da liegt, werde ich ihn nicht mehr erneuern. Die örtlichen Cacher haben ihn ja zwischenzeitlich alle gefunden

Veni, dawidi, vici :-)

Ich hatte heute zufällig in der Gegend zu tun ;-), und da habe ich dieses Döslein mal eben mitgenommen.

Ich bin von Grafenried her anmarschiert - da ist die Terrainwertung mit 3 Sternen fast schon etwas übertrieben. Auch die Difficulty bewegte sich eher in Richtung 0,5.

Und ich habe wieder mal viel lernen können. Über die Entstehung der Musik, den Forschungsbetrieb in Deutschland und so ...
