Unknown to many people there is a real alpine ridge in the city of Vienna, called "Kahlenbergergrat". It is not very easy to find but easy to overlook. The cache is placed near the upper end of the of the ridge inside a fallen tree.

The direct "way" is up from Waldbachgraben (no path) to the ridge. Climb up the ridge to the cache, further upwards you will reach the path leading to the "Hütte am Weg" (formerly known as Josefinenhütte). It is not really advisable to climb the ridge down as the stones are very loose.

Take the way into "Waldbachgraben" and leave the hiking path at N 48° 16.572', E 16° 20.596' (there is a bench at the corner of a fence) and try to find a way uphill. Be warned: It is not nice to go up there, it is quite slippery with all the leaves on the ground. Good shoes are necessary.

The easiest approach is from above, either coming from Kahlenberg or from "Hütte am Weg".

The cache is a small lock-lock-box without any pencil inside, so bring your own.

Please don't leave coins or TBs there as the place is fairly exposed.
