The artist
was born about 1460, in Brünn (today Brno, Czech Republic).
He was an Austrian sculptor, who continued the tradition of Sluter, which he combined with the ornamental exuberance of the late Gothic.
He was active at Heilbronn, Brno and from 1511 to his death in Vienna.
His believed-to-be masterpiece is the pulpit in the Vienna Cathedral. The stone pulpit is a masterwork of late gothic sculpture. Long attributed to him, today Niclaes Gerhaert van Leyden is thought more likely to be the carver.
The cache: Making a nice walk through one of Vienna's most beautiful malls from the mentioned landmark towards the Opera House you soon find an electrical public service vehicle which can take you directly to a station, the name of which is the street named after this artist.

Der Cache wurde trotz mehrmaligem Erneuern immer wieder vom "diensthabenden Ork" vandalisiert, daher mussten wir es leider archivieren.

Nachdem das Rätsel schon etwas länger gelöst herumlag, war nun endlich der Outdoor-Teil dran. Nachdem mich mein GPS mit den errechneten Koordinaten doch ein paar Meter weiter schicken wollten, musste ich doch etwas länger suchen.
