This walk you can do at a warm and quite eveneing as well as on busy Market-Days. At the end of the walk you will search for a Cache, so please carefully write down all the numbers you will be asked for.
Attention: The complete track is wheelchair-accessible. Only at the location of the final you'll need help, beacuse the terrain there is not like the rest of the track.
000: Here you can leave your vehicle. The parking area is large enough for any type of vehicles except in the time of really large events (like village festivals).
001 / Start: Here you will find a "not-typicall german" milestone. It is imported from one of our twin-towns. How far is the distance to this twin-town in kilometers (km)? A = ___________
002: This is your entry-point for the tour through the historic town centre. You'll find a "building" with an unique name. Which ranking-category will this "building" have (count the stars)? B = ________
003: You will find another old "house" with an unique golden heraldic animal. When was this "house" built? C = _______
004: You'll reach an administrative building. You'll find some informations about it's history. Find the year, when one of it's "wild" residents died. If you're doing hard in reading the old type of letters, please ask someone around you. When did this man die? D = __________
005: At this stage you will find a large old building. Once it was part of a wall which was built around the village. Watch out for the hiostorical informations. Find all the year dates (not the height) and add them. E = ________ (Sum of the digits 17) . Afterwards you should return to stage 004. Hint: The top year date contains the number 3!
006: Once upon the time Gunzenhausen was the center of it's own county area. Nowadays it's part of the County "Weißenburg-Gunzenhausen". Find the information in which year this change happend (A small hint: "Landratsamt"). The year date is F = _______
007: You'll find again an old "house" and on the front you can see two year dates (left and right). Add them. The sum is G = ________ (Sum of digits 13)
008: Now you've arrived the center of the town. Here yiu will find a strange clock-tower. If you are lucky the "glockenspiel" will ring for you. Find the information at what times of the day the bell will ring and the puppets are dancing. Please do not use the last hour date (only valid in spring and summer time). Now please add the four hour dates you've found. The result is H = ___________
009: Here you'll find nothing special. But our advice is to turn diagonally to the left.
010: In this area there was a cloister in the early part of the Middle Ages. The name of the cloister was similar to the nowadays town name. Find the year date which is related to the cloister (ask someone around you if you can't read the old type of writings). The year date is J = ______ Feel free to have a look inside the church.
011: You will arrive at a watchtower. You can visit the tower from the inside, but we will need the two year dates on the information plate (again not the height). Add the year dates together. The result is K = _______ (Sum of the digits 13)
012: There is an information at the wall. It meens that in earlier days a city gate was located here (Weißenburger Tor). Write down the year date: L = __________
013: Somewhere around you will find the actual emblem of the Town of Gunzenhausen. Count the diagonaly beams (roof- and support-beams). How many Colors you can find on the emblem (including the edge color)? Add the two numbers. The result is M = ______ (Sum of the digits: 3)
014: Again you will find nothing special here - except the small part of the original city wall. Go around the wall and turn to the right.
015: At this point of interrest you can observe (if you're lucky today) some animals, which have built their nest near to a tavern (seems that the animals are not drunken). Carefully watch the roof-tops of the buildings around. How many cameras will observe the animals nest? N = __________
Now you should sit down a little bit and have a short break (or a long one if you are thirsty and/or hungry). You'll need some minutes to calculate the coordinates for the final. Have a beer until you calculate, sometimes it would help ;-)

016: This is the final. Attention: The cache is not accessible for wheel-chairs (as we remarked before). Please ask for help. Now we are very sorry, but this is the end of our scenic walk through the town of Gunzenhausen. Have also a look at the "Altmuehlsee" which is very close to the town. There you will find some other scenic views and (of course) a lot of other caches to find.

Auf dem Weg nach Süden haben wir in Gunzenhausen eine Rast eingelegt. Auch wenn wir wohl vor ein paar Jahren schon einmal hier waren, hatte ich keine rechte Erinnerung mehr an den Ort. Daher ist es umso schöner, wenn sich jemand die Mühe macht, einen Sightseeing-Multi zusammenzustellen.
So sind wir zielsicher zu den interessantesten Ecken im Ort geführt worden und waren überrascht, wie viele Eisdielen es hier gibt (immerhin drei!). Nachdem wir alle Werte beisammen hatten, gingen es an die elendigliche Rechnerei. Zu meiner eigenen Überraschung, hatten wir auf Anhieb das richtige Ergebnis raus. (Schöner wäre es aber, wenn man nicht so viel rechnen müsste.) Vor Ort war dann auch gleich klar, wo zu suchen ist. Allerdings mussten wir erst einen kleinen Jungen abwarten, der sich genau dorthin zurückgezogen hatte, um sich zu erleichtern [xx(].

Heute haben wir das schöne Wetter genutzt, um diesen Stadtrundgang zu absolvieren. Alle Stationen konnten gut gefunden und die Aufgaben sicher gelöst werden. An Stage 11 konnten wir den Turm besteigen und so die Storche nebenan bewundern.
Bei der Finalberechnung haben wir uns natürlich erst mal einen Zahlendreher geleistet und so wenig plausible Koordinaten erhalten. Nachdem wir alles nochmals geprüft haben, konnten wir den Fehler finden und so die richtigen Koordinaten erhalten. In der Nähe des Verstecks war zwar gerade eine Veranstaltung, dennoch konnten wir unbemerkt und schnell zugreifen.
Danke für den schönen Spaziergang durch die Gunzenhausener Altstadt!

Nach dem leckeren Abendessen, machten wir uns spontan auf diesen Multi als Verdauungsspaziergang. Wirklich tolle Stationen, die die Schönheit des Städtchens hervorheben. Als dann ca. in der Hälfte der Akku leer war, zogen wir uns ins Hotel zurück und machen am nächsten Tag weiter. Ein gelungener Multi, der leider ein etwas unwürdiges Finaldöschen hat. Wäre das auch noch schön gewesen, hätten wir gerne einen FP gegeben. Danke fürs Zeigen des Städtchens.
