WELCOME TO THE WORLD TOUR GEOCACHE!

NOTE: This listing is slightly different from the listing on Geocaching.com. Stage2 micro has been moved to a better location. The crossword solution is the same, but the Number/Letter table has been changed, along with steps to finding Stage2.

This cache will require you to travel to far off lands and visit famous places and landmarks! Of course, you can always do this virtually, but I guarantee you it won't be as much fun!!

Your first step is to solve the below crossword by traveling the distance and bearing from the above coordinates. At that location will be a place or Landmark name that will fit into the crossword.

Once you have the crossword completed, take the letter in the blocks indicated and translate them to a number from the below table. (Example: if the letter in block A is b, then A = 1).

Once you have solved the puzzle and have the letter/number combinations, proceed to stage 1.

Stage 1

Go to N 49° 24.887 E 007° 42.089 and face the North East Wall. Count the number of windows in this wall. (# windows + 9 = X).

Stage 2

Proceed from the above coordinates AFX meters at a bearing of AD.A degrees and locate and solve the clue to the final (you will need the crossword solutions).

The Cache.

The final is an ammo box. Be sure to take the hint with you!

Das letzte Funddatum liegt lange zurück und die Logs bei geocaching.com lassen darauf schließen, das der Cache nicht mehr gewartet wird. Aus diesem Grunde archiviere ich ihn auch hier. Sollten sich später neue Aspekte ergeben, so kann dieses Listing durch den Owner selbstständig über ein "kann gesucht werden"-Log reaktiviert werden.

Lange Jahre haben wir uns selten die Zeit genommen, gefundene Dosen auch auf OC zu loggen - das holen wir jetzt sukzessive nach.

After some brain-jogging and virtual sightseeing on sunday morning, we made the real trip in the afternoon; we haven´t been here for years, enjoyed the walk, took the "right" trail and found the cache quite quickly.

Neuauflage gefunden am 15.04.12

We found the ancestor of this cache about four years ago, searched the depths of our archives, actually found the solution of the crossword-puzzle - and didn't need it, for our memory was good enough to lead us to the box.
