Description    Deutsch  ·  English  ·  Polski

This cache is a bit unusual, because of its location. I won’t write here long stories about the problem of homeless animals in Poland, but everyone who is at least a little interested in it, knows that the case is really serious.

Milanówek Animal Shelter is a rather small one (for Polish conditions) but it doesn’t mean that only a few animals live here. More than a hundred dogs and usually about ten cats wait for new homes here. Many of them are here already for long years, although most of them are really wonderful animals ! Maybe one of them would find home by one of cachers ?

You can read more (only in Polish unfortunately) on the official website of the shelter: http://schroniskomilanowek.pl/ or on facebook’s profile: https://www.facebook.com/schroniskomilanowek

The cache is located in the forest, near the shelter. Every Saturday we walk here with the dogs from our shelter. The previous cache was robbed some time ago, together with its camouflage, so the current one is a bit harder to get. It is located a bit deeper in the wood and it can be a little bit more problematic to reach it.

Inside, there are certificates for everyone who finds the cache. If you come here in a group – don’t hesitate to take more certificates – one for each person.

Four geokrety started their journey from the shelter cache: Aldo, Azorek, Buggy and Ozi. They are dogs off course. They were named after the dogs who also waited for new homes in the shelter, until recently. Unfortunately, they are not with us anymore... That’s why their counterparts arrive with mission: find home for one of those who still wait. Maybe one day they will reach somebody, who would like to adopt one of their friends who still wait in the shelter.

Off course, you can also visit the shelter itself when visiting the cache. If you would like to do so, it is best to come here on Saturday and send me a private message beforehand. You can also bring some dog food then, but the best way to help would be to adopt one of the animals from the shelter !

This cache is also registered on opencaching.pl: http://opencaching.pl/viewcache.php?cacheid=20516

Zostawiłem GK i drewniany gwizdek, zabrałem GK. Pzdr, Wojtek
