Schöner Cache mit erholsamer Wanderung.

Da heute Traumwetter herrschte, gleich im Anschluss an Forest Walk gemacht.

Wenn jemand einen schönen kleinen Abendspaziergang durch den Wald machen möchte, ich wüsste da was: Forest Walk II. Wir haben auf Mariatrost geschaut, auf die schön beleuchtete Basilika, auf den aufziehenden Nebel, der die Landschaft auf eine geheimisvolle Art eingehüllt hat und wir sind durch das knöcheltiefe Herbstlaub die Wege entlangeschlendert.
Cache war schnell gefunden, es geht ihm gut. Ein sehr schöner Cache, den wir nur empfehlen können.. Danke dafür.

Obwohl das Wetter heute nicht so besonders war (zumindest unterhalb von 1200m) haben Lalex und ich uns auf den Weg gemacht, die Nummer zwei der Serie zu heben. Nach einem kurzem Spaziergang war's dann so weit.

eigentlich sollte es "nur" ein kleine Punktegeierwanderung werden, da mir für´s Event am WE noch 3 Punkterl (auf 600) gefehlt haben.
Geworden ist es ein lustiger Spaziergang mit hman, dem Pr3dig3r und dem Owner.
Unterwegs ging dann noch in der Nähe ein Cache online und nun ja wie hman schon geschrieben hat "mussten" wir da auch noch hin...
anschlissend klang der Abend bei der obligatorischen Pizza mit Bier gemütlich aus!
Das ist ein Feierabend wie man ihn sich besser fast nicht vorstellen kann... [;)]

Dieses herrliche Forest-Walk-Wetter mußte heute einfach genutzt werden.

Als Parkplatz würde ich die #2 empfehlen. Vom ersten hab ich nur Anfang und Ende gesehen, aber die vielen, vielen Höhenlinien dazwischen lassen nichts Gutes vermuten. Außerdem bietet die obere Tour einen wunderschönen Blick auf Graz und ein tolles Panorama vom Schöckl bis hinüber ins Oststeirische.

As I was busy in the morning with other obligations, I was in need of a shorter cache. For that reason this cache was quite convenient for me.

I went by bicycle until waypoint P1 and continued from there by foot as I preferred to follow the hiking trail through the forest and not the paved road.

At some point I took, however, the wrong route on my way up and lost the marking. I followed first an unmarked trail and then walked up the rather steep slope in a trackless manner until I met the marked trail leading to the cache again.

Having arrived in the target area, it took me a few minutes to find the cache as the reception was not that good. The logbook is a indeed quite damp, but unfortunately I had no replacement with me as I had taken the knapsack which I usually take with me on bike-tours and not the knapsack I take with me for hiking caches. I hope that the three toys will not suffer from the damp climate inside the cache box. It might have been better to put them into zip-lock bags, but I had none with me.

Though I know the general area, I have never been at the summit point of the Lineckberg. I remember, however, that a long time ago Edorian and Gert both wondered how the place might look like, respectively how the object looks like that is shown on the AMAP close to the summit.


On my way back to my bicycle I took the more convenient way and followed the marked trail all the way.

It was a nice, easy, short and relaxing evening walk. Thank you for hiding this nice cache and for proving that there are still some hiders of caches in and around Graz which hide caches that neither are associated with a high terrain rating nor are quick drive-in caches at places that I consider as boring.

After a quite exhausting approach partially pushing up my bike on a steep road I finally reached the target area. Searched for a while and found - nothing. It had already become dark, so I had to use my "small" flashlight. After calling the owner it turns out that he had mixed up two digits in the coordinates..
After he gave me the right coordinates the box was quickly found; thanks.
