Das Rätsel beschäftigte uns doch eine Weile, konnte aber bereits letzten Herbst gelöst werden. Heute stießen wir vorort zur Dose vor - der Zugang hatte alles dabei: Trockenen Waldboden, Match, sogar ein bissi Eis und am GZ viele Dornen!
Das Versteck der Dose sticht richtiggehend heraus und so konnte diese rasch gefunden werden.

Das Rätsel war gleich nach dem Veröffentlichen gelöst, aber irgendwie hat das abholen nie gepasst.

Heute im (Halb)Mondlicht und Eiseskälte wars ein wirklich angenehmer Nacht-spaziergang

Heute war endlich mal Gelegenheit für einen Ritt in die Mantscha-Woods. Wieder mal - kennt man dort doch bereits die eine oder andere Haltebucht. Von den Woods selbst war bei Nacht und Nebel leider nicht viel zu sehen, aber der Cache war dennoch schnell gefunden. Das Versteck plärrt einen aber auch förmlich an.

The puzzle part was trivial for me and as the puzzle is very well-known I even knew the answer off my head and did not need to think about it again.

Originally I wanted to come by bicycle, but the arrival of the Winter changed my plans. Yesterday I was afraid of black ice and did not want to use the car. My attempt to reach the cache on foot from the terminal station of the tram 7 (free of charge yesterday) ended up in a failure - I had started too late and it was very hard to reach the target area on foot. One of the reasons why I failed is that I mixed up two almost parallel roads and then it got too late and I decided to call it a day and go back.

Today I came by car, but left it earlier than at the canonical parking coordinates as I wanted to have a longer walk. I had imagined the way to the cache to be a bit more romantic, but the tracks of a car in the snow ruined the atmosphere. What a pity that some people use their cars even at such a place.

When I arrived in the target area, I saw a suspicious location before my GPS-r showed a close distance to the target location. The cache is in good condition.

Thank you for hiding this cache at a nice place. Though I know the general area, I have not been before at the very place where the cache is hidden.

I regretted somehow that the walk was very short and that it is hard to combine this cache with a nice walking round leading through forest areas and keeping the percentage to be walked on tarmac roads low. This is even harder if one does not know the area well and one does not have a good map of the area.

PS: I forgot to mention that the terrain rating is too high. 2* would certainly suffice even in Winter time.

Heute morgen entdeckten wir zufällig dieses Listing und haben uns einen FTF erhofft. Wäre auch zu schön gewesen, denn wilma hat heute Geburtstag. Auch als wir in die Nähe der Cache-Location kamen war die Illusion noch perfekt: kein einziger Fusstapfen im neuen Schnee. Beim Öffnen des Logbuchs war's dann traurige Gewissheit: Da war doch gestern einer des Nächtens unterwegs und hat dem Schneefall, Eis und sonstigen Wiedrigkeiten getrotzt.
Hah, dafür haben wir den Morgenspaziergang genossen. Ein Traumwetter, vereiste Lacken, die nur darauf warteten, von unseren bam-bams aufgebrochen zu werden und ein schönes Versteck. Gut gemacht!

The ice skating season has finally opened in Graz and its surroundings! At least the car-ice-skating season.. it was great fun on the way back; try braking at 30km/h.. just to give up a few hundred meters later. Don't even think about steering [;)]
The riddle was quickly solved. When I left I noticed that it had started to snow but it stopped when I came closer to the cache location. After a short walk through a more or less white forest I found the cache at the first place that I had a look at.
Besides a small mistake (which has already been corrected) a very well-made first cache!
