Found 08 February 2011 Meister-Yoda found the geocache

Found 28 December 2008 orotl found the geocache

Schlechte Wartung lieber LordHarry.

Hab mir bei 1,5* Terrain was anderes erwartet.

Found 13 April 2008 cezanne found the geocache

Some time ago I decided to visit this cache not by car from the Kaiserwald rest area, but by bicycle. I came from Unterpremstaetten, took the Doblerstrasse and then decided to approach the cache right through the forest instead of cycling up to Neue Welt.

I entered the forest close to the circuit for dinky cars which reminded me of Gert's Kaiserwald cache which has been archived some days ago. It was not easy to find a reasonable way to the cache and the terrain rating of this approach is certainly higher than 1.5*. The approach I took was manageable in April - in Summer I would take a different one.

Due to bad reception my GPS-r first sent me around in circles in the target area, but as soon as came close to the hideout, it was obvious where the cache is hidden. The cache container and its contents are in good condition. It appears that the container is used as storage place for large TBs.

After having found the cache I more or less returned to my bicycle in the same way than I had used for my way to the cache. I passed, however, a location which I have not noticed before - it is difficult to describe it: several slabs like in a quarry, but the area did not look like a former quarry.

On my way home I passed by the Schwarzl recreation centre
and visited the Austrian sculpture park which can now be visited free of charge. Though I am not fanatic about modern art, I enjoyed this visit. Then I went back to Graz via the R9 bicycle path.

Though the two caches I visited today do not fit my caching preferences, it was overall a nice bicycle tour. Due to the fact that I chose a more adventurous approach to this cache, the visit of this cache was less boring than it typically
is to visit a TB-hotel along a motorway for its own sake.
TB-hotels of this type are mainly attractive for cachers making a short stop on their travel from A to B. This TB-hotel has the advantage that it can also be reached from outside the motorway. I am wondering, however, how more difficult it will be to reach the cache from the rest area in Summer when the Kaiserwald vegetation reaches its peak.

No trade

PS: The diabetes TB is not contained in the container. It got lost some time ago when the cache has been removed from its first hideout. The TB should be marked as missing.
