**Knocky's
& Cachedog Mondi's WCT #023 ... Going to Jersey & to the last
unvisited regions of France***Day 10: Namur (BEL) -> Pondrôme ->
Redu -> Schriesheim (GER)... 415km*This was the most horrible night
of our whole tour. Not because of the camperstop right in the city of
Namur was too loud (in fact I was surprised how calm it was). But while
Mondi and me had visited the "L'enfer du nord" trail yesterday and our
campingcar had been standing in the bright sun the complete day, it was
nearly impossible to get the heat out of it. We have an A/C, but only in
the driver's cab and this doesn't work when the camper is parked. So
Mondi didn't get asleep the whole night, always wandering around
[:(].Today's plan was to visit the trail "[GEB17] Le Bois du Chi"
together and in the afternoon, while Mondi had a break, I wanted to go
for the "Balade en Multi".Arriving at the suggested parking, there was
no shadow again to keep the campingcar cool while we went hiking. Our
first cache was (as suggested by the trail owner) the traditional cache
"Foyer Notre-Dame". From here we then started the walk. The timing was
perfect since due to the stand of the sun, large parts of the walk were
offering shadow ... except of the last part from #20 (where we had made a
longer break at the nearby bench) up to the bonus which was in the pure
bright sun. At #17 I was a bit sad that I didn't have my full ECA with
me ... not because climbing equipment was necessary to climb this tree,
but gloves would have been fine - the cum from that fir lasted on my
hands until the sink of my camping-car. One thing that I didn't
understand was why most of the caches on this trail have been reported
that there is maintenance necessary? Even though I had two DNF's (at #14
and at #19), everything was fine with the containers along this nice
walk through the beautiful scenery! Of course, I have left two blue
favorite hearts along the trail ... one at the beginning and one at the
bonus cache [)].Back at our camping-car parked next to the cemetrery, I
found it - as expected - heated up in the interior up to 34°. So going
for the planned "Balade en Multi" with leaving the cachedog alone inside
for several hours was NO option. So I skipped this plan and directly
went to our next scheduled night stop - the camperstop in Redu -
spending a cache-free afternoon + night there.Arriving in Redu, we found
a great and well equipped camperstop (really great: see photo at the
log of GC76YW3). But again, the stop was without shadow [:(]. After
using the chance to do a full camping-car service (= freshing up water
and emptying the grey water + chemical toilet), I levelled out our
"home", pulled out the sunroof, off-loaded my camping seat + table and
enjoyed the silence of Redu with reading a book. But even though the
cachedog had shadow, having two drinking bowls (one inside and one
outside the camper), he didn't find a rest ... always changing from
inside to outside [:(].After three hours I decided for the benefit of
Mondi, to end our tour here. So instead of spending another night stop
in Arlon accompanied by the planned visit of the trail "[GASH]" trail +
the solved "Examen de chasse" trail, I re-stored everything and went
back onto the highway. Horrible, when you think it is Friday
afternoon!!!But except of a bigger jam around Luxembourg City, it was a
clear drive. Along it, at 17:00 (= normal evening walking time for
Mondi) we made a stop shortly after reaching the German border - a good
chance to search for "Moseltal Ost" ... which was the final cache of our
WoMo-Caching-Tour (WCT) then.TFTC & for your contribution to our
WCT tour, Hyppodereinzige!

Macht keinen Sinn, also dicht!
