Dangerous area
The cache is located within a dangerous area. Use this attribute to mark non-obvious dangers, like high-traffic roads, steep ground or falling rocks. Security measures should be taken or the cache be omitted, especially when geocaching with children, large groups or at unfavourable weather conditions.

Active railway nearby
Er zijn spoorlijnen dichtbij. Wees voorzichtig, blijf op veilige afstand van het spoor en steek over op de daarvoor bestemde plaatsen.

Cliff / Rocks
Er zijn rotsen of gevaarlijke rotsen in de buurt. Pas op voor vallende stenen aan de onderkant, en wees voorzichtig aan de bovenzijde van de kliffen (speciaal met kinderen of mountainbikes).

Hunting
De cache is geplaatst in jachtgebied. In schemering of nacht is een zaklamp of hoofdlamp noodzakelijk voor de veiligheid. Wees er van bewust dan men jagers tegen kan komen.

Thorns
In de nabijheid van de cache bevinden zich doornen. Draag beschermende kleding en eventueel handschoenen.

Ticks
In bepaald seizoenen komen teken voor in dit gebied. Het wordt aanbevolen lange kleding te dragen en na het cachen de lichamen te controlen op teken.

Abandoned mines
This cache leads into a (former) mining area. There may be dangers by collapsing adits, or you may need to enter adits. Be careful and use appropriate equipment, especially in the dark. Old mines may be covered by historic preservation.

Poisonous plants
There are poisonous plants near the cache. Take care and prevent children and dogs from touching or eating them.

Dangerous animals
The area is inhabited by possibly dangerous animals, e.g. rabies areas, venomous snakes, scorpions or bears.

Parking area nearby
A nearby parking area is situated as starting point for doing this cache. If no free parking is available, add the "access or parking fee" attribute.

Public transportation
This cache is located outside of urban areas and has a public transport station nearby. Don’t set this attribute for geocaches in urban areas that are commonly equipped with public transportation.

Drinking water nearby
There is drinking water along the trail or near the cache. This attribute is useful especially for planning event caches, longer hikes or caches at probably dirty locations like caves.

Public restrooms nearby
There are public restrooms along the way or near the cache. This attribute is useful especially for planning event caches or extensive multicaches.

Public phone nearby
There is a public phone along the way or near the cache. Especially for event caches you should enquire for nearby phones and set this attribute if applicable.

First aid available
There is a first aid station, call box, mountain rescue or similar arrangement near the cache. This attribute is useful especially in demanding areas, like climbing caches, cave caches, high mountains or at the water. Check if you can add emergency phone numbers (like a mountain rescue) to your cache listing.

Near the parking area
The geocache is located close to a parking area, only a few steps away - it’s a "cache and dash".

Long walk
This cache requires a long walk - more than 5 km round trip. In the mountains and other steep areas, the distance for a "long walk" may be shorter. Walking shoes and appropriate equipment are recommended.

Swamp, marsh or wading
This cache requires passing swampy or marshy ground or wading through shallow water. Wear appropriate clothes. After rainfall, the terrain may be very demanding or not passable at all.

Hilly area
One or more ascents lie between you and the cache.

Some climbing (no gear needed)
This cache requires some climbing and you may have to use your hands, but you won’t need climbing gear. Be very careful during rainy weather or before thunderstorms!

Swimming required
This cache requires crossing a river or a lake. The water is steep.

Letterbox (needs stamp)
There is a stamp in the cache for stamping your personal logbook, and the cache’s logbook will be stamped with your personal stamp. Take care not to mix up stamps and to leave the cache’s stamp in the cache! Frequently letterboxes can be found without GPS, maybe with a compass and paces from a location - add the "without GPS" attribute for those.

Point of interest
There is a point of interest at the cache, like a nice scenic overlook or a larger castle ruin. This place is worth visiting it even without a geocache nearby.

Moving target
This geocache is moving around. For example, the owner might regularly move the cache from one place to another, or the finders will do this task and post new coordinates in their log entries. The owner must update coordinates in the cache description after each move.

Webcam
Aan het einde is een webcam en om te loggen dient een opname uit die webcam waar men dan op staat te krijgen om te bewijzen dat men daar daadwerkelijk was. Sommige webcam-caches vragen wat extra's zoals een banner te tonen. Het webadres dient aangegeven te worden in de beschrijving, en dient vrij toegankelijk te zijn, zonder een account te hoeven maken en vrij van kosten.

Wihin enclosed rooms (caves, buildings etc.)
Deze cache in niet geplaatst in open gebied, maar in een gebouw, een grot of iets dergelijks.

In het water
Deze cache of één van de punten is geplaatst onder water. Men dient in het water te gaan, zwemmen of duiken.

Without GPS (letterboxes, cistes, compass juggling ...)
Deze cache kan gevonden worden zonder GPS. Behalve de startcoördinaten heeft men geen andere coördinaten nodig om de cache te zoeken.

Safari Cache
This geocache can be found at different places. The places to look for are explained in the cache description. They must be located "away from home" and exist for a considerable period of time, so that they can be re-visited later. There is no container and no logbook; instead the find must be documented by a photo and noting the coordinates.

Access or parking fee
Er dient parkeergeld en/of entree betaald te worden om deze cache te doen, bijvoorbeeld in een themapark. Als er een alternative gratis parkeerplaats in de buurt is dient dat ook in de cachebeschrijving vermeld te worden. Let op onze huidige voorwaarden voor het gebruik met betrekking tot "commerciële caches".

Overnight stay necessary
Deze cache kan niet in één dag of nacht gedaan worden. De locatie zal verschillende keren bezocht moeten worden of moeten overnachten. Voorbereidingstijd is niet berekend, alleen de tijd tijdens het cachen.

Only at night
This geocache can be found at night only - it is a so-called night cache. There may be reflectors which have to be flashlighted and will point to the hiding place, or other special night-caching mechanisms.

Only available at specified times
This cache can only be done at certain times of day - see the cache description for more details. For example, the cache may be placed in an area with restricted opening hours.

By day only
This cache shoud be attempted during daylight only. For example, the area may be dangerous and contain cliffs or abysses. Or using flashlights may be inadvisable because it would look suspicious within a residential area.

Not at high water level
This cache can be done only at low or normal water level. At flood or high-tide it is not accessible.

All seasons
This cache can be found the whole year round, while difficulty may depend on seasons. Specify difficulty for good conditions.

Breeding season / protected nature
Don’t seek this cache during animal breeding season! Please indicate in the cache description which time of year must be avoided. Also, pay attention to the local terms and signs regarding nature protection.

Snow-proof hiding place
This cache can be found even after heavy snowing. All stages and the geocache are hidden in a snow-safe way: they will not be covered by fallen snow an not by snow-piles created by snow-clearing vehicles.

Only available during specified seasons
This cache can be done at certain seasons only - see the cache description for more details. For example, the cache may be placed in a corn labyrinth, which only exists from bloom to harvest season.

Alleen bij Opencaching te loggen
This geocache is listed at Opencaching only. This attribute will enable users of other geocaching platforms to find interesting OC caches quickly.

Andere cache
This is none of the standard, pre-defined types of cache. Use this attribute for special, unusual caches.

Special equipment
You will need special equipment which is not specified by other attributes, e.g. a laser pointer, walkie-talkies or a car jack.

Zaklamp
Een zaklamp is noodzakelijk om deze cache te vinden. Denk ook aan reserve batterijen!

Klimuitrusting
Voor deze cache is een klim uitrusting nodig en de benodigde kennis om te klimmen. Indien men geen ervaring heeft is het raadzaam om niet alleen te gaan, maar hulp te vtagen aan iemand met klimervaring.

Grotuitrusting
Deze cache is geplaatst in een grot, en het is raadzaam om de benodigde zaken mee te nemen. Pas op: Zelfs de klein grotten kunnen gevaren met zich meebrengen zoals bij hevige regenval buiten zou het water de grot in kunnen stromen of men kan gewond raken. Vraag eventueel aan een deskundige om advies. Denk ook aan de natuur, zoals beschermde dieren (vleermuizen) en mogen dan ook niet verstoord worden.

Duikuitrusting
Om deze cache te vinden heeft men een duikuitrusting nodig. Op welke diepte de cache ligt staat beschreven in de beschrijving. Denk er wel aan dat duiken niet zonder ervaring gedaan kan worden, of ga als groep of met een instructeur zoeken.

Boot
Deze cache kan alleen (normaal gesproken)gevonden worden met behulp van een boot. Door de afstand is het niet mogelijk om de cache swemmend te benaderen. Zie de cachebeschrijving voor meer gegevens.

Onderzoek
Voor deze cache moet er informatie opgezocht worden voor het zoeken van de cache. Dit komt vaak voor bij puzzel/mystery caches.

Puzzel / raadsel
Bij deze cache moet voor of onderweg een puzzel opgelost worden om de cache te zoeken.

Rekenopgave
Er moeten voor of tijdens het cachen rekenopgaven gedaan worden die verder gaan dan het simpele rekenwerk. Bijvoorbeeld middelpuntberekeningen of peilingen.
