Bei diesem Cache wandelt Ihr auf den Spuren der Vorfahren von Papst
Benedikt XVI.
Der Cache kann ab Punkt 1 als Wanderung gelöst werden (Streckenlänge gesamt ca. 3,5km - zu gehen ist hauptsächlich auf einer Teerstraße mit sehr wenig Autoverkehr). Es können die Punkte aber auch mit dem Auto (aber nicht bis direkt davor!), oder Fahrrad angefahren werden..

So, und nun geht’s los:

Punkt 1: N48 43.033 E13 08.962

An diesen Koordinaten befindet sich die Wallfahrtskirche von Handlab, an der erst mal ein paar Zahlen für den nächsten Punkt gesucht werden.
Über dem Haupteingang befindet sich ein Gemälde (um 1750 entstanden), das ein Ereignis mit Datum darstellt:

Der Tag sei A B
Vom Jahr brauchen wir die 2. Und 4. Stelle. Diese seien C  und  D

Und nun noch ein bißchen rechnen:
E = A+D
F = C-D-A-A
G = A+A
H = C+D

Punkt 2: N48 ED.ABD E13 FH.EEG
An diesem Punkt befindet sich ein Wegkreuz. Die Jahreszahl darauf ist I J K L

M = K-D
N = K-M
O = I+K

Punkt 3: N48° EN.NFO E13° LJ.EMA
Auch hier befindet sich ein sehr interessantes Wegkreuz. Von der Jahreszahl, die darauf steht brauchen wir die 3. und 4. Stelle als P  und Q
R = P-N
S = Q-M

Warum das Wegkreuz an Punkt 3 so interessant ist, könnt Ihr  hier  sehen.

Punkt 4: N48 ER.RSP E13.SJ.SQA
An dieser Stelle nun das letzte Kreuz. Daneben steht ein Totenbrett, von dem wir wieder Zahlen brauchen. Wann starb Martin Vogl?

Z = Y-T

So, das Alphabet von A bis Z gibt nichts mehr her, und nun könnt Ihr die Koordinaten für den Cache ermitteln:

With this cache, you´re walking on the path of pope Benedict XVI´s ancestors.

Starting at stage 1, the cache can be solved as a hike (3,5km), mainly on streets out of tar. The stages can also be done by bike, or car, but it´s no drive-in!

Now, let´s start:

Stage 1: N48 43.033 E13 08.962

At this coordinates you´ll find the church of pilgrimage called Handlab. Over the main entrance, there´s a painting (dated 1750), on which an incident ist described with a date.

The day is A B
You need the 2nd and the 4th digit of the year as C  and  D

And now a little bit of calculation:
E = A+D
F = C-D-A-A
G = A+A
H = C+D

Stage 2: N48 ED.ABD E13 FH.EEG
At this stage you´ll find an old cross. The year on it is I J K L

M = K-D
N = K-M
O = I+K

Stage 3: N48° EN.NFO E13° LJ.EMA
At this stage you´ll find an interesting cross as well! From the year you´ll need the 3rd and 4th digit as P and Q
R = P-N
S = Q-M

Here  you can see, why the cross at stage 3 is very interesting.

Stage 4: N48 ER.RSP E13.SJ.SQA
At this stage there is the last cross. Beside it is a board from which you need some numbers.

Day is T and U
Year is V W X Y
Z = Y-T

Now the alphabet has come to an end and you can calculate the cache- coordinates.

Und noch eine Bitte / and an additional request:
Die Cachedose hat eine Gummidichtung im Deckel, womit Tüten und ähnliche Hilfsmittel zur Abdichtung eigentlich überflüssig sind. Achtet aber bitte beim Verschließen darauf, daß nichts zwischen Dose und Deckel zu liegen kommt. Danke für Eure Mithilfe.
