The second Cache in Rauris leads to the Krumltal (Kruml Valley), which became known due to the vulture projects. In the Krumltal have been released a few bearded vultures (28?), that have been exterminated as "lamb vultures" in our region, because they should have picked lambs and even little children. The bearded vulture is a scavenger and so those stories are nonsens. ( more about the vultures in the Krumltal and in Rauris and about the resettlement of bearded vultures in the Alps) |

You can reach the cache after a nice walk back to the Krumltal starting at "Lechnerhäusl" (parking area at N 47° 07.590 / E 012° 58.680). The way is easy to walk and the more you get back to the valley it becomes more and more beautiful. At the end you have to near a little bit the upper water fall, the cache should be found easily at a normal water quantity. The cache is a glass with a blue pin and is hided between the two big stones (see spoiler pics). |

I haven't been in the Krumltal for years but when hiding the cache I´ve seen the pretty of this valley and I can say without thinking: I's a highlight and a special tip! |
The cache is recommended for seasons without snow. It's dangerous
due to avalanches.

did not find the geoacache
Leider konnten wir den Cache nicht heben. Wir waren bis auf 56m dran. Der Cache wurde von einer großen Herde Rinder mit streng schauenden Stieren bewacht die uns ein wenig Angst machten. Wir mussten leider aufgeben und werden es zu einem anderen Zeitpunkt mal wieder versuchen.

Neuschnee im Rauriser Tal!
Mit Frau und quengelndem Kind - ich kann nicht mehr, ich will nicht mehr... - bis zur Bräualm. Dann alleine weiter.
Nur mit nem Nokia Handy mit GPS die Stelle ungefähr gefunden. Mit viiiel Glück kurz vorm Aufgeben unter dem ganzen Schnee die beiden Steine und den Cache endlich gefunden! Premiere!
Wunderschöner Weg! Aber der Begriff KrumlTAL täuscht ein wenig! Hin knapp 600 Höhenmeter und das ganze wieder runter. Muskelkater lässt grüßen!

Nach 2 Stunden wandern durch das wunderschöne Tal haben wir den Cach gefunden (16:30 Uhr). Ohne Foto war es gar nicht so einfach und wir sind auch ordentlich nass geworden. Die sonne hat aber alles schnell wieder getrocknet
