Description

First stage:
Start at the given coordinates. Here you can find a sign.
On the sign you can find two numbers. The smaller number is A, the bigger number is B. Add them together to C.
On the plate you can find the word "Wien". How often? Call the result D.

Next stage:
N 48° 11.(D)5(D)
E016° 27.(C+A)(C-D)
Here you can find a small white number on the tree. The number is E.

Last stage (cache):
N 48° 11.(D)(8*E)
E016° 27.(D)0(B)
Be aware of the joggers! Hide the cache very carefully again!

Found 11 November 2006 Geo-Johnny found the geocache

No Trade ...

Found 11 November 2006 The GiGis found the geocache

Hallo Vagabund!

Found 10 August 2006 aj-gps found the geocache

19:15 CEST (vienna by bike with grizz-gps)
First we tried to reach stage 1 from "the wrong side", which gave us an whole new view of Vienna. Afterwards we found the right path and had no issues to find the cache box.
The box is completely wet and the log book unuseable - i tried to sign it, but I guess I failed.
It really needs to be replaced and the cache dried!!

Found 28 June 2006 gebu found the geocache

Found 16 February 2006 nedolama found the geocache

On tour with medio!

Found 06 September 2005 Mausbiber found the geocache

Found 05 June 2005 Gavriel found the geocache

Found it as Nr.4 of today's roundtrip (we walked over from the Walk of Stars). Rain kept the joggers away.
Now I know why we found the cache rather far from the coordinates: There has been a change in the expression for the eastern Coordinate of the Cache. On my (not very old) printout there is only D after the comma, the B is missing.
No Trade
Thx for the walk, Gavriel & Mike

Found 03 June 2005 cezanne found the geocache

Originally I had not planned to go for this cache and PlanetEarth's close-by cache, but for some reason I changed my mind. I had no problems in obtaining A,B,C, but had to look very closely for D as some letters on the sign are pretty small for my bad eyes and my small height. As I arrived at Stage 2, it appears that I took the correct value for D.

I was very glad that Vagabund uses the notation X.a in the correct way and does not abuse the decimal point.

At the final stage I first suffered from a bad reception which made me first search at a wrong place. After a while I found the cache. It is in good condition. I was glad that not many joggers were around at the time of my visit. I would not like to have to go for the cache in the early evening or at certain times of the weekend as I am not a patient person.

Thanks for the motivation to visit this part of the Prater where I have not yet been and which I like much more than the more famous parts. It was a nice walk and not too hot due to the forest. I did not experience problems with mosquitoes. I guess that even in the evening and morning, the situation should be better than for example at the two new caches by orotl in and around Graz.

Found 02 June 2005 reini found the geocache

Found it around 6 pm. As the claculations were so easy I had to mix up variables to increase the difficulty level . The mosquitos were effectively held at distance by some Autan-clone (not a single bite ).
Thanks for the cache

Found 02 June 2005 bagsj found the geocache

Nice afterwork cache. Found it at 1900 without any problems.

To all the pre-finders: what did you do with this poor mosquitos - they were so aggressive? ;)

Thnx!
