In former times the most of social institutions were built by personal engagement…..the old hospital too. When the bricklayer master Friedrich Uhrbrock dies, he denates some money for a hospital.

The hospital was opened on 30.04.1912 and got 22 beds for internistical and gynecological treatment. There were a lot of rebuildings. 1938 the hospital got a xray romm and an operating room. In 1965 was built a new operationtract. 1954 was built a house for the nurses too. The hospital grew up and in 1975 it contained 79 beds.

1920, when the money of the Uhrbrock denation wasn’t enough, the town Lauenburg became bought the hospital. But some years later they hadn’t enough money for the hospital too. And so the Johanniter-Orden became new and last owner of the Lauenburger hospital. 2003 the hospital was closed completely, because the Johanniter-Orden built a new big hospital in Geesthacht, which includes a modern internistic station too.

Dieser Cache ist auf Geocaching.com nicht mehr verfügbar und es wurde kein "Opencaching-Only"-Attribut gesetzt. Deshalb erfolgt hier nun die Archivierung!

Leider ist das Krankenhaus mittlerweile abgerissen, dort soll ein Penny gebaut werden, sehr schade drumm.....
