This trip leads you from the Karkogel mountain station to a small lake, the water reservoir for the snow guns, one of the most spectacular sides in Abtenau.
The trip is about 2 km long (round trip, as long you are using the Karkogel gondola (www.karkogel.com) from the start of the cache. If you prefer to walk, altitude difference is about 400m, which is one other hour to walk. At the mountain station the “Karkogelhütte” (Restaurant www.karkogelhuette.net) welcomes you.
The coordinates above show you the start point, which is the parking space of the „Karkogel mountain railways”. Parking is for free. Many attractions like toboggan run, miniature golf, Off-road Scooter, Quad Park, giant trampoline etc. shouldn’t keep you from starting your trip. On the east side of the gondola bottom station big letters tell you, on which altitude the bottom station and on which altitude the mountain station is located.

742m – 1.139m = A = N 47°32.340'
Start walking up the hill on the steep walking trail west of the bottom station towards Karkogel/Gsengalm or use the Karkogel gondola.
On the back side of the gondola mountain station a giant yellow board tells you the rules for the toboggan run. How many rules exist?

Wie zuvor angekündigt erfolgt hier nun die Archivierung. Sollten sich später neue Aspekte ergeben und der Cache wieder aktiviert werden, so kann dies durch den Owner selbstständig über die Funktion "Cache bearbeiten" erfolgen.

Die Nutzungsbedingungen von opencaching.de enthalten unter anderem diesen Punkt:
Ist der Geocache auch auf anderen Webseiten veröffentlicht, so muss die Beschreibung immer auf allen Webseiten aktuell und vollständig gehalten werden. Aktualisierungen der Beschreibung müssen zeitnah auch auf den anderen Plattformen vorgenommen werden.
Hier stimmen leider die Ost-Koordinaten nicht, auf GC lauten sie anders. Der Owner sollte hier dringend das Listing überarbeiten, bis dahin setze ich den Status auf "Momentan nicht verfügbar". Sollte binnen Monatsfrist (12.10.2012) keine Rückmeldung erfolgen, werde ich den Cache archivieren.

sorry für den Fehler mit der Ostkoordinate (siehe Eintrag vom 21.08.2008), wurde bereits geändert - weiterhin viel Spaß beim cachen!

war ein bisschen zäh dieser cache. das rätsel um die nordkoordinaten ist schnell gelöst, nur über die anzahl der regeln für die rodelbahn (wichtig für die ostkoordinaten) scheinen wir und stefan doch anderer meinung zu sein. die richtige antwort führt dich jedenfalls nicht zum cache, sondern zu den steilhängen der tagweide. mit ein bisschen räumlicher logik lässt sich der fehler korrigieren, und wir haben das cache gefunden.
