Parish Church of St. Pölten - Viehofen
The small neo-Gothic parish chruch was erected in the year 1898. Due to the recent rapid growth of Viehofen, a district of St. Pölten, an ample modern annex was added in 1997. The most striking feature is its array of small square windows, providing daylight to the inside, as well as glowing from inside at night. The wall between the Gothic church and the modern annex has been removed, making the inside a striking but harmonic composition of old and new. If the doors are open, do step in!

Nachdem sich die gestrige positive Schrecksekunde heute doch als negativ herausgestellt hatte, wollte ich unbedingt raus in die Natur. Gemeinsam mit meinem Ehemuggel unternahm ich eine Tour in den Großraum St. Pölten.
Nächste Station: ein Multi.
Die Informationen zu diesem Multi waren rasch ermittelt und nach kurzer Rechnerei das stimmige Finale ermittelt. Das Doserl wurde nach der Kirchenbesichtigungen ge-/besucht und war ein Sekundenfund.
Vielen Dank fürs Zeigen der Kirche Maria Empfängnis! Die Kombination von Altbestand und Neubau ist hier hervorragend gelungen. Sehr stimmig und v.a. sehr hell!
