This silent keyboard is a sculpture in a park in Seesen @ N51° 53.069 E010° 12.445.
It is placed there to remind the piano-manufacturer Heinrich Steinweg, who lived
in Seesen and later emigrated to America, where he changed his name to Steinway.
He named his company Steinway & Sons.

Auf der Ludwig-Hupfeld-Straße in Leipzig entdeckte ich heute an der ehemalige Pianofabrik bei:

dieses Silent keyboard.

Es begann alles am 01. Juli 1892. Die Ludwig-Hupfeld-AG war ein in Leipzig ansässiges Unternehmen, das mechanische und selbstspielende Instrumente herstellte und vertrieb. Gründer war natürlich Ludwig Hupfeld.

Nach dem Zweiten Weltkrieg wurde Ludwig Hupfeld enteignet, das Unternehmen wurde 1949 in VEB Deutsche Pianounion umfirmiert, das aber weiterhin Klaviere auch unter dem Markennamen Hupfeld produzierte und verkaufte. Danach war die Pianofabrik Leipzig GmbH & Co.KG in der Ludwig-Hupfeld-Str. 16 Inhaber der Markennamen Rönisch und Hupfeld und produzierte bis zur Insolvenz am 13. August 2009 Instrumente mit diesen Namen.

Nicht weit vom Hauptbahnhof im Sophienblatt befindet sich ein Musikgeschäft. Eine lautlose Tastatur ist zur Werbung für alle sichtbar. DfdC

Found this one at N 54° 46.308 E 009° 25.668 in Flensburg, northernmost Germany.

This is a six-foot-high advertizing for the piano-shop in the background. The shop's name is "Key-shop and music-school". Never thought that I may find such awesome ridiculous in my cacher-life.
Because of the nice idea and for the listing on opencaching.de I   R E C O M M E N D   this safari.

I came across this keyboard as I was cycling thorugh Mülheim an der Ruhr. This keyboard is on the window of a music store.

In Warsaw at N 52 13.912 E 021 00.221 is the Chopin Crossing. A pedestrian crossing which looks like a keyboard. It´s also clear visible in the satelitte view.
