Der J.C.J. van Speijk Leuchtturm am Vuurtorenplein 1 in Egmond aan Zee aus dem Jahr
1833 / 34 überragt den alten Ortskern mit seinen kleinen, typisch holländisch erbauten
Häusern. Das alte Fischerdorf wurde 977 zum ersten Mal erwähnt.
Der Leuchtturm ist eine nationale Gedenkstätte für Leutnant J.C.J. van Speijk und
steht auf einem neoklassistischem Sockel aus Sandstein. Die architektonische Höhe
beträgt 28m, die Feuerhöhe 37m.

Zum Cache :
1) Auf der linken Seite des Leuchtturm-Monumentes ist eine Tafel mit einem Text
auf Latein angebracht.

Im Urlaub haben wir uns die Zeit.Leider Renovierung am Leuchtturm.Daher vieles verdeckt.Das Tier und Tafel schlecht einsehbar.Danke für die Nachsicht.😉

Hello,
this weekend we undertook a short trip to Egmond aan Zee. Of course we've searched some geocaches during this tour. Today there was much time for walks along the beach.
This virtual cache was visited with disappearing daylight, too. But we managed to solve the tasks. Again, we came back next day for a better view. Unfortunately the lighthouse is covered for refurbishment, so one couldn't see it's entire beauty. Hopefully next time.
