Wochenendausflug mit dabayer nach Prag. Hauptziel war natürlich das GIGA, unser erstes. Gleich am Freitagabend ging es zum Eventgelände und direkt in die Schlange der Wartenden für die Maze Ausstellung. Die Zeit vertrieben wir uns zwischendurch mit Gesprächen mit anderen Wartenden, den Unmengen an immer wieder neuen ALC und abwechselnden kleinen Erkundungstouren auf dem Gelände. 3h hieß es dann Warten, bis wir endlich drin waren. Und es sollte nicht die letzte Warteschlange an diesem Wochenende sein. Bereits in der Ausstellung kam die nächste. Zwischen all den interessanten Beiträgen stand ein Woodcoin-Automat, der sehr beliebt war. Ein anderer Standort wäre wünschenswert gewesen, denn hier entstand ein ordentlicher Stau. Leider hatten auch wir keine passenden Münzstücke dabei, eine Vorabinformation wäre schön gewesen. Schließlich konnten wir dann doch noch zum Logbuch vordringen und uns eintragen.

Im Anschluss ging es noch zu einem kleinen Spätevent in der Nähe und dann zurück zum Hotel.

Der Samstag startete bereits sehr früh, denn das CCE wartete bereits auf uns und war die Warteschlange vorm Logbuch zum Glück noch nicht so lang, als wir nach einem ausgiebigen Frühstück das Gelände erreicht hatten. Weiter ging es zum Hauptevent, hier ging der Einlass überraschend schnell. 

Nachdem wir das Gelände ein wenig erkundet hatten, bei der Tombola einen TB gewonnen hatten und eine wunderschöne Eventcoin erwerben konnten, ging es für uns weiter auf Cachesuche. 13 verschiedene Cachetypen konnten wir an diesem Tag finden, nebenbei die Stadt etwas erkunden und immer wieder nette Cacher treffen. Der Tag endete spät bei einem Cocktail mit abschließendem Mitternachtsevent.

Und auch der Sonntag begann früh für uns, denn wir wollten natürlich der Umwelt etwas Gutes tun und fanden uns beim CITO ein. Während unserer Müllsammeltour konnten auch die Labstationen besucht werden. Danach verabschiedeten wir uns von Prag.

Auf unserem Heimweg wurden noch Zwischenstopps beim Lomy Amerika und Mexico gemacht und in Karlstejn, wo wir auch die schöne Burg besichtigten. Ein paar Dosen konnten aber auch unterwegs noch gefunden werden.

Es war ein anstrengendes, aber schönes Wochenende in Tschechien. Wir sagen Danke an die Veranstalter des GIGA und auch allen anderem Ownern der Events und Dosen, die wir besucht haben.


Weekend trip to Prague with dabayer. The main destination was of course the GIGA, our first. We went straight to the event site on Friday evening and queued up for the Maze exhibition. We passed the time by chatting with other people waiting in line, checking out the vast number of new ALCs and taking turns exploring the grounds. We then had to wait 3 hours until we were finally inside. And it wasn't to be the last queue of the weekend. The next one was already in the exhibition. Between all the interesting exhibits was a Woodcoin vending machine, which was very popular. A different location would have been desirable, as there was quite a traffic jam. Unfortunately, we didn't have any suitable coins with us either, so it would have been nice to have been informed in advance. Eventually we were able to get to the logbook and sign in. Afterwards, we went to a small late-night event nearby and then back to the hotel. Saturday started very early, as the CCE was already waiting for us and the queue in front of the logbook was fortunately not that long when we reached the site after a hearty breakfast. We continued to the main event, where admission was surprisingly quick. After we had explored the site a little, won a TB in the raffle and were able to purchase a wonderful event coin, we continued our search for caches. We found 13 different types of cache that day, explored the city a little and met lots of nice cachers. The day ended late with a cocktail followed by a midnight event. Sunday also started early for us, as we naturally wanted to do something good for the environment and met up at the CITO. During our rubbish collection tour, we were also able to visit the refreshment stations. Then we said goodbye to Prague. On our way home, we stopped off at Lomy Amerika and Mexico and in Karlstejn, where we also visited the beautiful castle. We also managed to find a few tins on the way. It was an exhausting but enjoyable weekend in the Czech Republic. We would like to thank the organisers of the GIGA and all the other owners of the events and tins we visited.

Uns dias de férias com a minha cara metade e uns amigos.
A ideia era visitar a cidade de Praga (que não conhecia) e participar no evento Giga 2025 e claro, participar nos demais eventos e fazer as caches das redondezas.

Foram uns dias fantásticos na companhia de bons amigos.
Também serviu de reencontro de bastantes caras bem conhecidas.

Visitamos o máximo de locais que nos foi possível, apesar de estarmos muito condicionados pelos horários dos diversos eventos. 😁

A cidade de Praga é muito bonita. Bons meios de transportes disponíveis, boa comida e sempre muito hospitaleiros.
O idioma acabou por não ser um problema, pois sempre se preocupavam em entender o meu inglês. 😉
Gostei muito, mas ficou a "saber" a pouco.
Terei de voltar assim que me seja possível.😉

Naturalmente que fizemos bastantes caches.
Até porque as caches levam-nos a locais bonitos e com história.

Caches houve em que a língua dificultou, e muito, o entendimento dos objectivos. 🫣
O tradutor, nem sempre traduz o verdadeiro significado que o woner nos quer transmitir.
Por vezes até baralha mais.🤔🫣
Espero que o respectivo woner tenha isso em consideração e me conceda uma benesse, quando necessário. 🤗🫡

As caches foram aparecendo sem grandes dificuldades.
Como estávamos em grupo, as caches foram registadas com o nick VATT  (iniciais dos nicks individuais: VetMary, AmigosdaNatureza, Taina.pt e Toratotsuru).
No entanto, algumas foram também logadas com os nicks individuais e/ou carimbo.

Peço desculpa a cada woner pelo log generalista.
