Tutzinger-Hof-Platz

This is a central place in Starnberg. Square is named after Tutzinger Hof - one of oldest buildings in Starnberg which is an inn and before was named Hoftaverne. Tutzinger Hof is visible on the earliest picture of Starnberg which is fresco from 1590 in the Antiquarium of the Munich Residence. About a century earlier Tutzinger Hof was mentioned in written documents.

The square has been rebult several times since its construction. On the north side first were stables of Starnberg Castle which later have been replaced by small citizen houses. One is specially rich painted so it attracts attention. At the south side was a park and later there was built a ballroom and theatre there. On west side now is a massive buuilding in which you can find tourist information. The appearance of today, the square got in the second half of XIX century.

In the center of the square there will be errected a Maibaum each year, first at Mai 1, 1950. Maypole is decorated with male and female folk costumes, miniatures of first church and first school in Starnberg and signs of traditional crafts and buisinesess. Pole is culminated with a crest bird of Stanrnebrg - a starling.

Container is hidden under pedestrian bridge nearby Tutzinger-Hof-Platz. First spoiler shows exact coordinates, second one shows place of hiding. It's a small clip-box, very small items fit in.
