Description

Monument to the Victims of Jewish Ghetto

This geocache is located at the Monument to the Victims of the Jewish Ghetto in Chisinau. Please take your time when visiting this site. At the entrance to the small park there is a sign giving you a few information about the ghetto. If you would like to have some further readings, I recommend to visit the webpage of the Jewish Memory in Moldova

To find the final coordinates you need to read the sign. Find out the sad numbers of the ghetto's residents reported by General Constantin Nicolescu.

The number of imprisoned women minus the number of imprisoned children equals A.

The number of imprisoned men equals B.

The final coordinates are at:

N 47° A + 196

E 028° B x 12 + 689

Make sure to follow the rules of common math.

Found  The geocache is in good or acceptable condition. 26 March 2026 j-he found the geocache

Together with EuroTraveller I visited Moldova for the first time and we had 3 full days to explore. On the first full day we started from our apartment towards the city center and this cache was (almost) on the route. However at the location itself there were gardening works ongoing, so many muggles were present. So we skipped the EarthCache at the location. But the info for this Multi was quickly collected and we then managed to find and log the cache unnoticed.
Thanks for the Multi - also on Opencaching! Lachend
