I GIARDINI REALI DI VENEZIA

I Giardini Reali di Venezia hanno origine con la decisione napoleonica del 1807 di collocare il Palazzo della Corona nelle Procuratie Nuove.Il 23 dicembre 1920 i Giardini, inclusi tra i beni culturali ceduti dalla Corona al Demanio dello Stato, furono assegnati al Comune di Venezia e interamente aperti al pubblico.

Il 23 dicembre 2014, i Giardini Reali vengono dati in concessione a Venice Gardens Foundation per il loro restauro, conclusosi nel dicembre 2019, su proggetto dell'architetto e giardiniere Paolo Pejrone e degli architetti Alberto Torsello, Carlo Aymonino e Gabriella Barbini per le architetture ed il ripristino delle serre.

Venice Gardens Foundation cura la gestione e la conservazione del Compendio monumentale dei Giardini Reali.

The Royal Garden of Venice originated with Napoleon's decision of 1807 to use the Procuratie Nuove building as the site of the Royal Palace. On december 23,1920,the Gardens, on of the properties the Crown had ceded to the States Properity Office,were assigned to the City of Venice and opened to the public.

On december 23. 2014, via a concession agreement, the restoration of the Royal Gardens was entrusted to the Venice Gardens Foundation,completed on december 2019, using the projects drawn up by architect and gardener Paolo Pejrone and those of architects Alberto Tosello, Carlo Aymonino and Gabriella Barbini for architectural restructuring and rebuilding the Garden's greenhouses.
