Do you know hit the pot, this search game, where you have to find an item blindfolded and the only hints you get are the words “warm, warmer” when you get closer and “cold, colder” when you get further? This is the game we want to play with you!

As usual for a cache of type “Letterbox” your task is finding the cache only by those hints. Unfortunately, we cannot walk beside you and give you the hints. Luckily, there is no need for this since we built this webpage to do the job.

To start the search, you need a smartphone and you have to enable its GPS. After opening the webpage you first need to share your location. After that, you can read off from the smartphone how far you are apart from the cache: If you read e.g. “cold” you know you are rather far. If you read e.g. “very hot” you can be sure you are pretty close. At the end you will read “found it”. If you get confused about the temperatures, please have a look at the progress bar.

As for the genuine game, expect to walk forth and back a couple of times. However, since the cache is hidden within the old Herrnsheim and since the old Herrnsheim is not really that huge, you will make it eventually. There is no pre-determined route, but many paths lead to the final. The shortest route is less than 1 km.

As usual for a cache of type “Letterbox” the box contains a cache stamp for your personal stamp book. This item is not for trading and needs to remain in the box.
