This is the safari hunt for the nature monuments. The title contains the German name "Naturdenkmal", but the logs from all over the world are accepted. The logging condition is to find the nature monument, that wasn't logged before and is officially recognized in the given country. It should have the official marking informing that it is nature monument, either in the form of standalone information board, or the little plate on the object. It can be a tree, a rock or any other interesting nature object. In Germany it will be called "Naturdenkmal", in Poland "Pomnik przyrody", in other countries in will have the other name, as well as the plate will have other graphic design.
You need to post the exact coordinates of the monument, the information what that object is, as well with at least one photo, where the official plate is well visible. You are encouraged to post more than one photo. If you can, please post additional information, for example the registry number of the nature monument, if you are able to get that information.
This is a virtual Safari-Cache. It isn't placed on any predefined location, but can be logged anywhere. The given coordinates are only an example

In Herrenberg (BW) fand ich oben am Schlossberg beim "roten Meer" diesen alten Baum als Naturdenkmal
(nicht weit entfernt soll noch ein zweiter alter Baum stehen - vermutlich auch Naturdenkmal).

Für den Sonntag hatten wir eine Fahrradtour durch die Uelzener Heide geplant.
Dabei kamen wir an der dicksten Platane Westfalens vorbei. Sie hat einen Stammumfang von 715cm, ist 42m hoch und etwa 250 - 300 Jahre alt.

Auf unserer heutigen Tour zum Schafshübel bei Olbernhau sahen wir auch dieses Flächennaturdenkmal zur Krötenwanderung am Geißelbach.

Diese wunderbare Eiche bei einem Caching Ausflug gefunden. Leider sind keine weiteren Informationen dazu zu finden. Dennoch, toller Baum. TFTC

Auf meinem Weg zur Ostsee kam ich bei diesem "Naturdenkmal" vorbei, warum es ein Naturdenkmal ist, erschließt sich mir nicht wirklich.
Aber vielleicht ist es wie mit Kunst, da verstehe ich auch nicht, warum manche Dinge "Kunst" sind...
