The residential complex in Piesteritz is an architectural highlight and has an 90 year history. Now a listed site of historical interest, it was created by town planner Georg Haberland and the Swiss architect Rudolf Salvisberg. The main goal of the redevelopment was to preserve one of Germany´s most attractive residential complexes for workers in its unity and quality. Experts from the Foundation Bauhaus in Dessau supported the redevelopment. Residents have been actively involved in increasing the proportion of green and open spaces and removing traffic from the complex. Visitors are always welcome.
You can get here by bus (stops: Apotheke, Pestalozzistrasse or Torhaus), by bike (the Elbe cycle track passes nearby) or you can park your car in front of the Piesteritzer Hof on the former market place.

Dieser Cache ist auf geocaching.com archiviert und hier nicht mit dem Attribut "OC only" versehen. Das letzte Funddatum liegt lange zurück und die Logs bei geocaching.com lassen darauf schließen, das der Cache nicht mehr existiert. Aus diesem Grunde archiviere ich ihn auch hier. Sollten sich später neue Aspekte ergeben und der Cache wieder aktiviert werden, so kann dies durch den Owner selbstständig über die Funktion "Cache bearbeiten" erfolgen.

Vor einigen Monaten sah ich einen Bericht über die Siedlung im Fernsehen und kurz danach wurde dieser Cache frei geschaltet. Leider erst heute auf den Weg gemacht, um diesen Komplex zu besichtigen und dabei auch die Aufgaben des Caches zu lösen.
Am Final war die Dose offen und voller Sand, einige papiernen Inhalte pitschnass. Diese wurden durch mich entsorgt (es waren keine tauschwürdigen Sachen darunter). Nach dem Loggen die Dose gerade so zu bekommen, es müsste einer der nachfolgenden Sucher mal das Duschbad mitnehmen und dafür etwas kleineres einlegen. Ich hatte nichts dabei.

Spaziergang durch die Werkssiedlung, ich habe so manches schöne Detail
entdeckt was mir früher nicht aufgefallen ist!

schöner Rundgang durch die Werkssiedlung, nur der Finalort war nicht so schön, aber dafür wurde man auch nicht gestört.
