Stone crosses belong to the oldest symbols found on the field. The cross which gave the name to this cache is probably the oldest basalt cross found in the Düsseldorf area. The cross dates back to 1547, and has a still unindentified emblem.

Old inhabitants of the Lohausen district know this cross as 'Pestkreuz' (cross of the black death), which fits to the creation date in late medieval. The erection of the cross was initiated by Theodor Lantz in 1903. Up to the seventies of the 20^th century it was right in the middle of the street, until it was relocated to its current place.

The Cache is located close to the cross. Please BYO pencil. You dont have to enter the monument to get the cache. Please place it exactly where you have found it!

Heute habe ich das gute Wetter genutzt um auf die Suche zu gehen. Es sollte etwas dauern, aber am Ende war die Dose doch gefunden.
