For over 70 years nobody has been buried here. - For a good reason: Dying is illegal in Longyearbyen! The corps wont decay because the permafrost preserves them perfectly. So the administration decided to close the cemetry.
The citizens are all very young. If somebody gets ill he/she will be transfered to mainland. IF somebody dies here it will happen because of an accident.
