Information:
Charles Square (Czech: Karlovo náměstí) is a city square in the New Town of Prague, Czech Republic. At roughly 70,000 m² it is one of the largest squares in the world and was the largest town square of the medieval Europe. Founded in 1348 as the main square of the New Town by Charles IV, it was known as Dobytčí trh (Cattle Market) from the 15th century and finally named after its founder in 1848. The central portion of the square was turned into a park in the 1860s.
The square is now one of the main transport hubs of the city centre with Karlovo náměstí metro station and numerous tram lines and busy roads crossing it in all directions.

Der Karlsplatz (Karlovo náměstí) in der Prager Neustadt bildete im Mittelalter und in der Neuzeit deren administratives und wirtschaftliches Zentrum und war der wohl größte Marktplatz Europas. Seine zentrale Funktion hat erst in jüngerer Zeit der Wenzelsplatz übernommen.

Nach dem Geocaching GIGA-Event besuchte ich unter anderem noch diesen Opencache. Aufgrund des anstehenden Marathons war der Karlsplarz schon grösstenteild abgesperrt.

During the elongated weekend Pimi1, FamJoBiG and myself made a common trip to Prague - going for the GIGA and some sightseeing. What a lovely town (especially the inner city)! During these days we attended our first GIGA event, met caching friends there, found many caches of different types and had much fun... Overall these days have been quite enjoyable as well as interesting for all of us.
Cache details:
In the middle of the town - many people have been there and on sunday the Prague marathon will take place. Thanks for leading us to this place!

Auf unserem Trip an den GIGA in Prag auch einen Rundgang durch die Stadt gemacht und dabei kamen wir auch hier vorbei.
Mangels Papier und da mein GPS auch die Kamera ist, muss mein Bein auf einer Markierung mitten auf dem Platz als Logproof wohl reichen 🤭.

Uns dias de férias com a minha cara metade e uns amigos.
A ideia era visitar a cidade de Praga (que não conhecia) e participar no evento Giga 2025 e claro, participar nos demais eventos e fazer as caches das redondezas.
Foram uns dias fantásticos na companhia de bons amigos.
Também serviu de reencontro de bastantes caras bem conhecidas.
Visitamos o máximo de locais que nos foi possível, apesar de estarmos muito condicionados pelos horários dos diversos eventos. 😁
A cidade de Praga é muito bonita. Bons meios de transportes disponíveis, boa comida e sempre muito hospitaleiros.
O idioma acabou por não ser um problema, pois sempre se preocupavam em entender o meu inglês. 😉
Gostei muito, mas ficou a "saber" a pouco.
Terei de voltar assim que me seja possível.😉
Naturalmente que fizemos bastantes caches.
Até porque as caches levam-nos a locais bonitos e com história.
Caches houve em que a língua dificultou, e muito, o entendimento dos objectivos. 🫣
O tradutor, nem sempre traduz o verdadeiro significado que o woner nos quer transmitir.
Por vezes até baralha mais.🤔🫣
Espero que o respectivo woner tenha isso em consideração e me conceda uma benesse, quando necessário. 🤗🫡
As caches foram aparecendo sem grandes dificuldades.
Como estávamos em grupo, as caches foram registadas com o nick VATT (iniciais dos nicks individuais: VetMary, AmigosdaNatureza, Taina.pt e Toratotsuru).
No entanto, algumas foram também logadas com os nicks individuais e/ou carimbo.
Peço desculpa a cada woner pelo log generalista.
