Here in the northeasternmost part of the Gjirokastra castle you can enjoy the view over the green plain. You can imagine that this is a defensive position. It would be very difficult for the enemy to creep along the valley floor to attack you without giving you fair warning.

Your task to log is to take a selfie with the clock tower from the GZ.

For the password you need the date Henry Holland wrote of this area (YYYY).

there is a small fee to enter the castle (200 lek at time of publication). It is worth it. You came all the way here, I don't imagine you would want to visit the city without visiting the castle.

We visited Gjirokastra and the castle at our holidays in Albania. It was hot, but the old city and the castle are really interesting.
