🍃 Ismerd meg Vas vármegye egyik legimpozánsabb matuzsálemét, a Gatter fogadó kertjében álló tölgyfát! 🌳✨
🌳 A Vasi Vénség: Ez a tekintélyes kocsányos tölgy (Quercus robur) a Gatter fogadó kertjében magasodik. 🏡 A becslések szerint körülbelül 250 éves ⏳ matuzsálem magassága eléri a 27 métert 📏, törzskerülete pedig eléri az 580 centimétert! 📐 A folyamatos gondoskodásnak köszönhetően a fa egészségi állapota kitűnő. ❤️ Egy úgynevezett hagyásfáról van szó, amelyet a korábbi szélerdő-vágások során hagytak meg, hogy az egymást követő generációk alatt ilyen erőteljes, értékes faóriássá fejlődhessen. 🍃 A matuzsálem az Év Fája versenyen is megmérettette magát! 🏆
⚙️ A Gatter története: A fogadó épülete eredetileg fűrészüzemként működött. 🪚 Névadója, a „gatter” (keretfűrész gép) az üzem legrégebbi berendezése, amelyet az 1870–1880-as évek között gyártottak, és az 1930-as években került az épületbe. 🏭 Kezdetben gőzgép hajtotta, amelyet az 1950-es években váltott fel a villanymotoros hajtás. ⚡ A régi gattert gyönyörűen restaurálták, így összes tartozékával együtt ma is megtekinthető az épületben 🏛️, míg a kertben és a falakon egyéb régi ipartörténeti eszközök láthatók. 🛠️

🍃 Discover one of the most impressive ancient trees in Vas County, standing in the garden of the Gatter Inn! 🌳✨
🌳 The Old Oak of Vas: This magnificent English oak (Quercus robur) stands proudly in the garden of the Gatter Inn. 🏡 Estimated to be around 250 years old ⏳, this ancient giant reaches a height of 27 meters 📏 and has a trunk circumference of 580 centimeters! 📐 Thanks to continuous care, the tree is in excellent health. ❤️ It was originally left behind as a seed tree during historical forestry clearings, allowing it to develop into a majestic giant over generations. 🍃 This remarkable tree was also nominated for the Tree of the Year competition! 🏆
⚙️ History of the Gatter: The inn building originally operated as a sawmill. 🪚 Its namesake, the "gatter" (frame saw machine), is the oldest equipment of the mill, manufactured between the 1870s and 1880s, and brought to the building in the 1930s. 🏭 Initially powered by a steam engine, it was upgraded to an electric motor drive in the 1950s. ⚡ The historic frame saw has been beautifully restored and can still be seen inside the building with all its accessories 🏛️, while other historical industrial tools are displayed on the walls and in the garden. 🛠️
