Export to Germany

This is a temporary Geocache. I will remove it sortly before my holidays end and I fly home to Germany on the 1st of April 2007. If anyone wants to "export" items to Germany hurry up! 

The second purpose of this cache is to show you how nice the area around here is. Please come and bring some time to discover the beauty of the region. There are thermal springs, caves and nice gravel roads around here. Unfortunately the black Westcoast beaches are all on private land. If anyone is interested in seeing the caves (S37 32.900 E174 48.301), visit www.nikaucave.co.nz, if you come from further away, you could stay over night in the local backpackers, see www.goglenmurray.co.nz.

The cache: 1l Cuisine Queen plasic box. Bring steady footwear and plan about 40 minutes for the hunt. You can park your car next to the given coordinates. As the cache is located on private farm land take all your rubbish and leave all gates as you find them.


If you can't find the final cache and you want me to leave something to take to Germany, feel free to use this logbook and the box.

You have to find three waypoints. I t is strongly recommended to wear proper footwear. There are rough and slippery bits on the path, especially after rain. Good luck!

Before you take of, take the lighter.

First: To find the final cache go thru the gate south east of the letterbox, follow the path to the chimney. Please shut the gate.

Second: It's getting harder. Go to the next waypoint 253° west south west in 53 metres distance.

Third: That was the easy bit. Now it gets hard. The cache is 50 metres north. Please watch your step and take your time to find a safe track.
