Stadthalle Rostock

It is a normal multi-stage cache which takes about 1 hour to go. You will need a GPS device, a sheet of paper for notes and a pencil. Maybe a compass can help you. When searching the cache you never have to leave the public footpaths.

Maybe you have to wait for the next train at the main station of Rostock. Lock your luggage next to the Southern entry/exit and try to find the cache. When you come to Rostock by car you can park around the city hall or next to the main station. It is possible free of charge at N54° 04.703', E012° 07.429'. When using the tram in Rostock please get off at station "Stadthalle".

About the city hall of Rostock
The city hall of Rostock is used for sport competitions, concerts and congresses. It is situated at the Southern side of the main station, was built in 1979 and completely renovated in 2006.

The way to the cache
Start searching at the Northern side at the position above. The park in front of the city hall is dominated by some stone sculptures. To the first figure you will get using the stairs to the city hall. How many steps does the stair has.

Go on in Eastern direction. At one of the next sculptures made of sandstone you will find a hint when a symposium of sculptors of the different partner cities of Rostock took place. In what year this meeting took place. (To find this date you don't have to leave the footpaths. The text is written in German.)

You are now at the Northeast corner of the city hall. Here you will find some trees planted in the year of a workers conference of the countries of the Baltic Sea region, Norway and Iceland. When does this conference took place?

Now go to the point of sale of the city hall. The entry is at the Southwest corner of the building. Count the number of steps of the stairs leading to the entry and point of sale.
