Quick walk through Piber right after lunch on "Mamas Runde" together with my father.
Found all signs except one, but that one didn't matter that much anyway.
The final location looks quite interesting after the last storms.. and really lots of ticks!

Schöner Cache! Bei der Cachelokation liegen im Moment noch sehr viele Bäume kreuz und quer!

Heute Nachmittag Lord Harry überredet diesen Cache mit mir zu machen! Leider konnten wir eine Station nicht finden, da vieles verschlossen war. Trotzdem den Cache schnell gefunden!

Wir waren schon lange nicht mehr hier, in Piber bei den weißen Pferden. War wirklich wieder einmal fällig, hier vorbeizuschauen.
Bis auf eine Station haben wir alle gefunden, die haben wir aber wahrscheinlich irgendwie übersehen. Bei Cachlocation hat Paula einige Bäume flachgelegt, dem Cache selbst ist aber nichts passiert. Es geht ihm gut. Der Weg dorthin ist allerdings durch umgefallene Bäume stark erschwehrt.

Heute sind die Lipizzaner von ihrem Almquartier heimgekehrt. Dieses Schauspiel wollten wir uns nicht entgehen lassen und sind dann weiter ins Gestüt um den Cache zu suchen. Die Fragen sind irgendwie seltsam angeordnet, was mir zunächst Kopfzerbrechen bereitete, außerdem waren wir schon hungrig und deshalb etwas ungeduldig. Ok, Werte waren dann doch alle gefunden und auch der Weg. Aber wie schon der Vorlogger (leider erst heute gelesen), waren auch wir nicht wirklich geländetauglich gekleidet - bin ich selten bei 1,5 Terrain-Sternchen. Na gut wurscht, wenn ma schon da sin... Also raufgekämpft und dann das Gläschen bald gefunden, auch wenn ich knapp 20 m off war...

Beim letzten Mal peinlicherweise abbgeblitzt, heute endlich erfolgreich. War ja gar nicht so schwer ;)

Sozusagen unser "Jubiläumscache" der 50. Fragen 1-4 waren ja schnell gelöst. Die Antworten 5 und 6 haben wir nach längerem Suchen doch noch gefunden. Der Cache selbst hätte sich durchaus Terrain 2 verdient :)

nachdem wir bei Nebel den Wölkerkogel Cache gewartet haben sind wir noch hier vorbei gekommen.

Ein netter Cache der innerhalb von einer Stunde machbar ist.

Auch wenn wir uns bei Pferdestärken besser auskenenn als bei Pferden waren die Fragen kein Problem.

My third and last cache for today. It served as a break in between my drive home from the Gaberl. I was quite relived after having managed the drive down from the Gaberl without getting into any troublesome situations caused my overtaking motorbikers for whom I am driving much too slowly.

The parking lot in Piber was almost full - although I encountered many people around in the area of the Lippizaner world, I had the feeling that some people must have been hiding somewhere (perhaps inside the many restaurants and coffe houses). I have driven through Piber before, but never had a look at the Lippizaner world as this area appears pretty touristic to me. Probably it would be better to pay a visit to that location during the week and not during the main tourist season.

Although I had no map of the area and did not visit the stages in the order in which they arise in the cache description, it was no problem at all to collect all answers (actually, most of them were known to me in advance anyway). After having assembled the coordinates of the cache, I visited the church of Piber - although I do not like that much the baroque style, it was still interesting to have a look at the church from inside.

Back at the place where I started my walk I headed off for the cache. At the beginning I was not sure whether I had chosen the right way to approach the cache, but then I encountered the sign which is shown on one of the photographs. I was not sure from which direction I should approach the cache, but when I saw a very small overgrown sort of path leading to the direction of the cache and leaving the main path, I decided to approach the cache in a direct manner. I still do not know whether an approach from above is possible and more convenient. Due to the previous logs mentioning the hight number of ticks, I wore a beige-coloured trousers. I do not know whether I managed to escape tick-free - in any case I got rid of two ticks which I saw on my trousers.

To speed up the search, I had read the hint. In any case, the hideout is a very typical one and easy to find. The container was lying around openly. I tried to cover it again as good as it was possible without having to search for additional material in this sort of little green hell.
The logbook is a little bit damp, but it is no problem to enter log entries.

Thanks for motivating me to visit the Lippizaner world for the first time in my life. Personally, I had no problem with the choice of the hideout, but the cache would be more family-friendly with a different sort of hideout (or in the case that the hideout is better reachable from another direction with some additional explanations). If you visit this cache in Summer time, do not come in shorts.

Urwald von Piber

Also muss sagen Piber ist natürlich ein wunderschöner Ort für einen cache, es gefällt mir dort echt sehr gut, nur wenn man (beim cache) in so ein "Zeckennest" gerät vergeht einem leider die Freude. Ich bin ja normalerweise nicht so empfindlich (außer wenn ich's mit großen Spinnen zu tun krieg ), aber das war schon extrem grauslig, auf meiner ganzen Hand wuselte es richtig und diese unliebsamem "Viecherl" wieder alle loszuwerden war gar nicht so einfach

Weiß nicht, was das letzte Mal daneben gint. Heute schnell gefunden.
jblue und ich hatten schließlich gemeinsam 27(!!!) Zecken auf uns herumlaufen. 2 haben bis zum jetzigen Zeiptunkt auch gebissen.

Übrigens: Das ist der dritte neue Cache innerhalb von drei Wochen, den ich so oder so ähnlich bereits vorbereitet hatte (also ihn selber legen wollte ).
Macht nix, hab schon bei den anderen gesagt, dass ich ja froh bin mir so die Wartung zu sparen.
