Der Cache blinzelte uns schon ein wenig an und war somit schnell geborgen, das Wiederverstecken war etwas schwierig, da ein (Security?)Muggel auf das Geschrei des kleinen bams aufmerksam wurde. Da der kleine bam aber offensichtlich nur Pipi machen musste, waren wir nicht mehr interessant und konnten das Doserl wieder verstecken.
Leider hat fred den Kugelschreiber in seiner Hosentasche vergessen, vielleicht kann ja ein weiterer Finder wieder einen spendieren. Danke im Voraus!

Heute rasch gefunden. Waahnsinn wie vollgeparkt die Umgebung doch war (Hochsteingasse ist auf jeden Fall ein guter Tipp).

Schneller Drive-In am heutigen Nachmittag :) Die Gegend war doch vermuggelter als man glauben möchte, aber ich konnte in einem kurzen Moment der muggelfreien Zeit den Cache mit einem schnellem Griff heben

"wollts lieber ein bisserl gehen oder eher nicht?" war die Frage, "gehen" die Antwort, wir hatten doch schon einige Drive-ins absolviert.
27m Restentfernung sagte mein Kastl beim Parkplatz - in Graz dürfte "ein bisserl gehen" also besonders schwer einzuschätzen sein, wenn ich an das "bisserl gehen" denke, das gebu am Vortag gemeint hat (in der badlwand)

Hab mir wieder mal Überblick über dien "neuen" Caches von Graz geschafft, da gibt es einiges aufzuräumen, und dieser hier bot sich mal gut als Heimweg-Cache an.

Sehr zielstrebig und schnell gefunden, schnell geloggt, da ein paar Leute immer wieder zu ihren parkenden Autos gingen. Konnte hoffentlich unbemerkt den TB entwenden und den Cache wieder verstecken...

When I read the description of this cache, I realized that the cache is not directed at cachers like myself and thus it would not be pay off for me to visit the location independently from some other business. As I happen to be not far from the cache from time to time (neither at the chamber of commerce nor at the Campus 02), I decided to search for the cache at the occasion of my next visit of the area in order to get it off my list of nearest caches.

As I combinded the cache with another business, I had no GPS-device with me. I decided to give the cache a short try which either would end with a find or with giving up. I was surprised how easy it was to find the cache without GPS. The caches I found without GPS as a beginner were much harder to find than this cache. The cache hideout is rather daring. I was glad that it visited the cache in the evening when it was dark and hardly anyone was around.

The cache container (one of the luxurious lock&lock containers which are not that frequently used for caches which are directed towards cachers playing the number game) and its contents are in good condition.


I was somehow puzzled by the fact that the cache description asks for constructive critique and at the same time mentions that the cache is directed towards cachers whose main goal is to increase their found-counter quickly. In my opinion this cache perfectly fulfills what its description claims - so every visitor of the cache knows in advance what can be expected and so complaints about the cache are inadequate by almost by definition. From that point of view, it does not appear possible to me to suggest any sort of improvement. For a different sort of cache, I might have suggested to add a few lines of explanation about the location and its background to the cache description, but the target audience of this cache is certainly not interested into such type of information - so a change of the description would be counterproductive.

Let me take, however, the liberty to mention that I am asking myself what the motivation of a beginner in geocaching is to hide a cache whose main virtue is that it results into an additional found point for the searchers. (Do not misunderstand this statement as critique - there is no hidden double meaning.)


The cache offers a quick and easy way to add one additional traditional cache to one's found list and it is certainly well-suited for cachers who like drive-in caches in cities which are of the type "drive there, get out of the car, get the cache out of the hideout, write log entry, rehide the cache, leave". The cache will certainly also have something to offer for cachers who are bored during their lunchbreak and who start to feel better if they have a location (with no interest in its own right) where they can go to and follow the pointer of their (most probably fancy) GPS-r.

The longer I am an active geocacher, the more clear it becomes to me that the geocaching community has split up into several separate communities each of them playing their own game. The game to which caches like this cache belong to is not the version of geocaching which I started back in 2002 and which still fascinates me.

Thank you for the honest cache description that avoids disappointments caused by unmet expectations into a cache.
Moreover, I appreciate the fact that the cache description is made available also in English and not only in German, something which unfortunately is happening less and less frequently recently.

Wegen Erkältung/Grippe hatte ich einige Tage cache-pause, dieser drive-in war allerdings kein Problem, nichtmal das GPS musste ich benutzen da ich aufgrund diverser Kurse das Areal (vom parkplatz suchen her :-)) sehr gut kenne.

Nachdem dieser Cache nahe von unserem zu Hause ist, mussten wir da sofort hin. Wollte auch mein gewonnenes Cosy Kätzchen reingeben, dafür war die Box aber leider etwas zu klein. Den Georeynozos GEO Coin Black haben wir nicht mehr gesehen :(

Dem Hinweis von Rabatt ("Es gibt einnen Neuen Cache!) bin ich gerne gefolgt. Vor Ort haben Rabatt und Orotl schon gewartet. Die hatten die Dose natürlich schon gefunden und wieder versteckt. Bis ich die Dose gefunden habe, hat es doch ein bischen gedauert (Wenn einem beim Dosensuchen jemand zuschaut, wird man doch etwas nervös). Wir sind dann noch zu einem Tratscherl ins Kaffeehaus gegangen und ich habe das sehr genossen. Danke rieglerp fürs Verstecken.

Schnell Mails überprüft und gesehen das es ein neuen Cache auf OC gibt. 15 Minuten später haben wir uns auf, neben, unter EP-I getroffen und sind zu einen FTF geradelt.

Frustriert im Schreibtischsessel vor mich hintippend riss mich dieser Cache aus meiner Arbeit!
5 min später waren Rabat und ich per Fahrrad unterwegs, weitere 30 min um 15:30 war die Dose enttarnt :D
Vor Ort warteten wir dann noch auf Gustus um seine tolle Coinsammlung zu geniessen!
Ein netter Aprescache-Kaffee rundete den schönen Nachmittag ab!
