Today I revisited the nice chapel again as a detour from my walk in the former mining area which was motivated by the new cache https://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC6ZEVN_tagbaurunde?guid=72df9435-981b-4b01-b4a8-aa25f6d59eae.

I have never seen the six panels which are only placed in Christmas time before in the real world and only have seen photos of them. I was surprised that the panels have not yet been removed (at February 2 at the latest) but was at the same time happy that I had the chance to be able to have a close look at the panels.

I'm fascinated by the chapel whenever I visit it. It's a real masterpiece of Franz Weiss. At the occasion of my last visit in Tregist at the chapel I had the unique chance to visit the museum too which is accessible only upon prior arrangement with Ernst Lassnik.

As I passed by the cache too I had a short look. The container is still there. I did not open it but everything looked alright.

It's a pity that the cache gets few visits and the majority of those who visit the cache write copy and paste logs or tftc logs and apparently do not seem to notice that the chapel is what's special about this cache.

I took some photos of the chapel which I might use in a safari cache about works of Franz Weiss.

Sehr schön gestaltete Kapelle. Leider hatte ich keine Zeit das Museum nebenan zu besuchen, vielleicht kann ich das mal nachholen.

Dank dieses Caches durften wir eine äußerst sehenswerte Kapelle kennenlernen. Und dank des eindeutigen Hints war auch das Doserl nicht schwer zu finden.

So eine schöne und farbenprächtige Kapelle hätte fast einen "Regular" statt einem "Micro" verdient.

Wirklich netter Ort, wenngleich Cachelocation nicht ganz uneinsehbar.

As I am an admirer of the work of Franz Weiss and as churches and chapels attract me both from the artistic point of view as well as from the religious point of view, I was looking forward to this cache. I have never before been in Tregist. Fortunately, it was not difficult to find the right way to the chapel from the Leopold cache since I just needed to continue my drive on the same road.

Before searching for the cache, I visited the chapel and took some photographs both from outside and from inside. I am fascinated by the art of stained glass windows. I need to admit, however, that the windows in the chapel at Tregist do not belong to my favourite ones among the windows created by Franz Weiss. I was, however, positively surprised by the rest of the interior decoration - I very much liked the cross-shaped altar ensemble.

Due to good coordinates the cache was easy to find. Thank you for choosing a hideout that respects the holy atmosphere of the chapel.

Schöne Kapelle!
die weihnachtlichen Holztafeln sind ein wenig verwirrend gewesen, also doch dann lieber das GPS eingeschaltet und bemerkt dass der Cache doch ein wenig woanderst ist...
