Da nicht adoptiert und nicht mehr gefunden archiviert

Ein OC Cache in Irland ... der erregte natürlich gleich unsere Aufmerksamkeit.
Zwar war der nicht so alt wie unser letzter außergewöhnliche Fund aber immer noch reizvoll genug.
Und so führte uns unser Weg durch die verlorene Stadt ... immer weiter weg von der Zivilisation. Und je höher wir kamen umso unwirklicher wurde das Wetter. Nebelfetzen wehten über die Wiesen und die Schafe guckten uns irritiert an. :D

Am GZ angekommen war dank der guten Beschreibung schnell klar wo wir schauen sollten. Und wer sagt es? Da war die Dose, unversehrt und nur leicht feucht.

So konnten wir mal wieder ein Geocachingabenteuer erfolgreich abschließen.

Several weeks ago I read Heinrich Bölls „irisches Tagebuch“. He described his hikes through the deserted village very poetical. When visiting Achill Island, I wished to see this place with its ancient houses. Today Reisegern and me came here from Dugort. The sun shone through the clouds and painted bustling patterns on the hills. Sheep were grazing between and inside the houses and ruins. Moorland herbs spread on the walls. What a bizarre but beatiful scenery. Before searching the cache we walked until the path's crest and enjoyed a great view across the opposite bay. Then we went back to the cache location, found the small box and had a cosy break. We listened to the silence around, accentuated by the wind blowing through the grass.
We removed all the waste inside the cache (and some at the cache location) and cleaned it. Unfortunately the logbook is still wet, however it's possible to sign it. For the rest everything is in order.
Thanks a lot for the cache in the deserted village. I enjoyed some good hours. It's peaceful here.
