S-Heimer Wiesencache

This multi leads us into the South-West of Frankfurt . At the base coordinates the tramway 12 ends and starts respectively. Cars can be parked at additional 50m to SW.

The route totals approx. 5.2 km. All stages except the finale can be reached on ordinary pathways by foot (with or without buggies) or by bike. Motor vehicles are not allowed.

Some notes in regard to the riddles:

1. All coordinates have been taken under fine weather conditions with a maximum deviance of 6m using a Garmin etrex Summit.
2. All N-coordinates start with 50°, alle E-coordinates start with 08°.
3. Calculated numbers are in thousandth of minutes and to be added or substracted to /from the previous values according to the specifications.
(Example: given value is N 50° 01.999', the calculated value of X = 102, than N + X equals N 50° 02.101)
4. The values of X and Y must be calculated anew for each stage. All other values are only valid for one riddle, too.
5. The cache is stashed in a round transparent box (approx. diameter 15 cm), wrapped in a plastic bag.
6. Content at start: logbook with pencil, geocaching-game document, nail care set, big glass marble, matchbox-car, metal carabiner, plastic keyring.

Stage 1: N 50 ° 04.943' - E 08° 34.889

Behind a tram ready to leave you will find a building, containing pieces of a collection, of which the tram might also be a part.

You need the house number of this building. This number is A, then

X equals 4 * (cross total of A)
Y equals X + A + 10

Stage 2: N (Stage 1) - X; E (Stage 1) - Y

You are facing a stone erected to honor an artist. The last line of the inscription reads as follows: Der ... das Lied? Which word is missing? The number of letters of that German word might be A.

X equals A * A - 14
Y equals (A-1) * 101 + (A*3)

Stage 3: N (Stage 2) - X; E (Stage 2) - Y

You should reach the remains of a formerly mighty tree, where some badges remind of historical events. You need the year of the occupation of Frankfurt (Besetzung Frankfurts) by western neighbors; the number is A. The year of the drought (Trockenperiode) is B. Then

Y equals (B-349) / 3

Stage 4: N (Stage 3) - X; E (Stage 3) + Y

Here you face an information post that explains the former and the current usage of the area behind. What number is mentioned in connection to the word "Agenda"? This number is A.

X equals (3 * A) + 10
Y equals 10 * X - 7

Stage 5: N (Stage 4) - X; E (Stage 4) + Y

Except a crossing of two paths, there is nothing remarkable at this place. If you look around you find at some trees nearby two signs with numbers. The digits of the higher number is represented by ABC.

X then equals CAB
Y then equals C, (B+C), (A+B)

Stage 6: N (Stage 5) + X; E (Stage 5) - Y

Again you are reminded of somebody. This time even of two people.

A panel informs about these people. You need the number of years between the date of the man's death ("gest.") and the memorial's dedication (Einweihung); this number is A. You also need the number of years the man lived. This is B.

X equals (A * 50) - 1
Y equals B * 6

Final Coordinates: N (Stage 6) + X; E (Stage 6) + Y
